PAL football opens season

3rd grade

The PAL Force 3rd grade squad lost a tough game to the Pelham team Sunday at Stellos Stadium. Keegan Mills was tough on both sides of the ball, and scored the only Force touchdown. John Jigargian, Chris and James Heitmiller and Patrick Melanson turned in some nice runs from scrimmage, while Robbie Long, Logan Metthewson and Chris Heitmiller turned in stong defensive performances, with Heitmiller making a crucial tackle.

Team captains for the home opener were Shea Philbroook, James Heitmiler, Jaiden Dupont, and Mills.

4th grade

PAL 34, Monadnock 0

The PAL Force 4th graders are 1-0 after winning their home opener against Monadnock 34-0. J.J. Kammann, Jordan Bodwell, Tyler Downing, and Austin Oullette accounted for the Force’s points on the board, with strong support from Nathan Nugent and Max Wright.

Defensively, the PAL squad was anchored by Garrett Hillard, Brian Montminy and Ryan Sheehan.

5th grade

Londonderry 12, PAL 7

Jacob Kostanek scored the only touchdown and PAT conversion in the PAL 5th graders’ season-opening loss to Londonderry.

Schyler Boykin made some strong runs form scrimmage, while Johnny Michelin made some nice passes, including a 20-yard connection to Troy Bottari.

Timmy Rose, Nevean Roy, Anthony Mele, Alex White and Allan Martin dominated the defensive line for most of the game, with defensive backfield help from Seyvon Sanchez, CJ Grondin, Alexe Mallor, Paul Murtaugh and Matt Leavitt.

6th grade

Monadnock 13, PAL 12

The PAL Force 6th graders were edged out 13-12 on Sunday at Stellos Stadium. Steve Giaconia and A.J. Vitale ran the ball for touchdowns. Captains Mason Dane and Trey Legraw anchored the offensive and defensive lines, while Levi Gosselin was strong in the offensive backfield.

Tyler Chase and Finn Little field put in great defensive efforts, as did Austin Rancourt wiht a quarterback sack.

Middle school

PAL 42, Monadnock 0

In their home opener, the Force Middle School varsity squad blanked their opponents from Monadnock by a score of 42-0.

The junior varsity middle school team was beaten by the Derry JVs.
