FIELD HOCKEY

ASTROS SHOOT FOR THE STARS: The annual Astros Shoot for the Stars field hockey camp will run the week of July 19 from 8 a.m.-noon at Rider field in Derry from Monday through Friday. Beginners to high school varsity players are welcome from grades 4-12. The cost is $100 for the week and includes insurance, camper pack and instruction. Contact person is Pinkerton Academy field hockey coach Denise Rioux at 437-6402. Forms can be e-mailed to you by requesting one at DRioux@pinkertonacademy.org or mailed by leaving your address. Goalies should bring their own equipment.

LACROSSE

MILFORD: Milford Recreation Department will host a summer Lacrosse Clinic July 19-23. The clinic will run 9 a.m.-noon and is available to boys ages 8-15. The clinic will be held at Adams Field. SOCCER

WLYC: A Soccer Camp will be held from Aug. 2-6 (4-6:30 p.m.) for children in the first through eighth grades at WLYC (475 Forest Rd., Wilton). There is a $50 fee. Visit www.gosspark.org for more information or to download registration and medical release forms.

BRITISH CHALLENGER CAMP: The Milford Recreation Department and MCAA will host a British Challenger Soccer Camp for ages 3-14, July 26-30. Ages 3-4 (First Kicks) camp will run 9-10 a.m. (fee $58 per player). Ages 5-6 (Mini Soccer) will run 10:15-11:45 a.m. (fee $78 per player). Ages 7-9 (Half Day) will run 4-7 p.m. (fee of $109 per player). The camps will be held at MCAA soccer fields on North River Road. Registration deadline is Friday, July 23. CROSS COUNTRY

NASHUA PAL: Get a jumpstart on your elementary school cross country season this year by participating in the Nashua PAL Cross Country Running Camp. The program will be held Aug. 16-20 and/or Aug. 23-27 (5:30-7 p.m. daily, rain or shine) at the Nashua High School South track. The camp cost is $20/week (camp t-shirt is included with two weeks tuition). This program is for children attending third, fourth and fifth grade in the fall of 2010. The primary goal of this program is personal achievement, individual success and the development of healthy habits in a fun and social atmosphere. As a participant, your child will be encouraged to set personal goals and work to achieve those goals with a renewed sense of pride in their accomplishments. MILFORD CAMP: The Spartans Rebounders Club, under the direction of varsity basketball coach Dan Murray, will be hosting a camp July 26-30. The camp, which runs daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., is for boys and girls aged 8-16 and most $125 per session. Brochures are available by calling 672-7140.

BISHOP GUERTIN CAMP: Bishop Guertin will hosting a basketball instructional school for boys and girls ages 9-13, Aug. 2-6 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. The school places emphasis on building the fundamental skills of each camper, and to accomplish this in an enjoyable and pressure-free environment. HOLLIS/BROOKLINE GIRLS CAMP: The first Hollis/Brookline “Skills & Drills Girls Basketball Camp” will be held at the Hollis/Brookline High School gym from July 26-30, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. each day. Girls from Hollis and Brookline, entering grades seven, eight and nine are invited. The Camp will be run by coaches Bob Murphy and Tim Glover, as well as, several of last years varsity players. The Camp will include individual skills, group drills, contests and team games. This will be a great time to meet the high school coaches and players. You will learn many of the high school drills, touch the ball and have some fun. Cost for the week is $60 per camper. A certified trainer will be present. AMHERST SOCCER CLUB: Amherst Soccer Club is now taking registrations for boys and girls ages U3 through U10 (open to players from any town) for this coming fall Tots and Early Development Program (EDP). Fall registration fee includes a week of soccer camp Aug. 9-13. There are also limited spots available for our Boys and Girls U11-U14 teams.
