Nashua 12-year-old Aya Mahgoub won the Regional All-Around in her first year at Level 9 with a score of 36.625.

The win qualifies Mahgoub for the Eastern Championships as a member of the Region 6 junior team.

Mahgoub came in second on vault with a score of 9.4, third on bars with a score of 9.0, second on beam with a score of 9.3 and fifth on floor with a score of 8.925.

Mahgoub joined the pre-team of Premier Gymnastics Academy in Illinois at age 5 and competed at Level 4. Her family moved to New Hampshire, where she would join the New England Gymnastics Training Center of Hudson to compete at Levels 5 and 6, before finally settling in at Brestyan’s Gymnastics in Burlington, Mass. – the home of Olympic silver medalist Alicia Sacramone.

NEGTC Prep-Op team competes at Spring Fling

The New England Gymnastics Training Center of Hudson Prep-Op teams competed in the Spring Fling that was held in Bow on April 11. NEGTC took home the second place team award. Many gymnasts took medals and ribbons for individual events and top places for All Around awards.

Kaelyn Gagnon, Hudson placed 4th with an all around score of 32.500. She received a 7.55 on Vault, 9.00 on Bars (1st) 8.10 Beam (3rd) 7.83 on Floor (3rd)

NSG competes at April Tune-UP meet

The Nashua School of Gymnastics’ Prep-Optional team traveled to Phantom Gymnastics in Hampstead for the April Tune-UP meet on April 18.

Many of the NSG gymnasts from the Novice, Intermediate and Advance divisions placed in individual events and in the All-Around.
