NASHUA – It’s time for those season ending – and school sports year ending – final exams.

The bad news for the Nashua area, all its local teams have been excused and won’t get passing grades.

The NHIAA today will crown champions in four baseball and softball divisions plus three division in boys lacrosse. Girls lacrosse had its finals earlier this week.

There are two finals being played in Nashua. At Stellos Stadium at 5 p.m. it’s the Division I boys lacrosse with No. 1 Bedford (17-3) vs. No. 2 Pinkerton (17-3). It’s the first Division I boys final without Bishop Guertin, which was beaten 11-9 by the Astros in the semifinals Wednesday in Manchester.

Ironically, the two schools played in the football finals back in late November at Stellos, won by Bedford.

The other championship game in Nashua will be in boys volleyball. For the first time since 2021, Hollis Brookline won’t be in the boys final.The Cavs had a down year, missing the tourney but it was a good year for No. 1 Salem and No.2 Coe-Brown who will tangle at 4 p.m. at Nashua North’s Titans Gym.

The other big game will be the Division I baseball title game at Manchester’s Delta Dental Stadium between No. 1 Trinity and No. 6 Londonderry at 7 p.m. The Pioneers have been the state favorites all season long.

Londonderry will have another team in a title game, as the No. 1 Lancers softball team will play No. 7 Goffstown at 2 p.m. at DM Field in Holderness (basically Plymouth State). The Lancers will be going for a threepeat.

In the other softball games up at PSU, No. 9 Plymouth will face No. 3 Kingswood in the Division II final at Chase Field at 4:30 p.m. At DM Field, No. 1 Gilford will face No. 2 Prospect Mountain in the Division III finals and No. 5 Portsmouth Christian will play No. 3 Colebrook in the Division IV title game at 2 p.m.

In baseball, the day at Delta Dental starts with No. 4 St. Thomas, which eliminated defending champ Souhegan the other night in the semis, facing No. 2 Kingswood at 10 a.m.

That will be followed by the Division III game between No. 5 Derryfield and No. 3 Belmont at 1 p.m., and then at 4 p.m. will be the Division IV title tilt between No. 1 Newmarket and No. 7 Epping

Finally, the other two boys lacrosse games will be No. 1 Winnacunnet vs. No. 2 Derryfield at Exeter’s Bill Ball Stadium and in Division III No. 1 Coe-Brown takes on No. 2 Bow at Laconia’s Bank of NH Stadium. Both games, like Division I, are at 5 p.m.
