It was time to get R.E.A.L on Saturday as in the Londonderry R.E.A.L track meet, the final tuneup before the Division I and II atheltes return to LHS for their respective state title meets next Saturday.

But it was also time to finish up the high school tennis season, which the Bishop Guertin girls did in dominant fashion.

Here’s a look with track and field leading the way:

LOCALS SHINE AT LONDONDERRY

There were several great performances at the annual Londonderry Invitational:

Girls Meet

North’s Abigail Azevedo took the high jump at 5-4 and was third in the 300 hurdles while Sarah Frye won the triple jump at 35-1.5. Her sister,Allison Frye, won the 300 hurdles in 45.47 and was third in the 200. Rosie Neveu took second in the 400.

The Titans won the 4×400 relay with Sarah Frye, Charlotte Wilson, Allison Frye and Neveu competing to a time of 4:04.89

Nashua South got a first in the pole vault by Emma Millette at 10-6. Panther Sara Witta was second in the long jump, and the Panthers were second in the 4×800 relay and the foursome of Witta, Camrin Ayi, Lyla Ayi and Millette were second in the 4×400 (4:14.74)

Hollis Brookline’s Grace Dow captured the 100 hurdles in 15.10 and was second in the 300 hurdles while Quinn Hardy took third in the 3200.

Alvirne’s Ava Tardif was second in the javelin with a throw of 106-9 and the Broncos were third in the 4×400 relay.

Bishop Guertin’s Noelle Gauthier was third in the shot put, as was Zoe Coler in the 1600.

Merrimack’s foursome of Megan McWhirter, Zosia Yellin, Grace Massey took the 4×800 relay in 10:24.18. The ‘Hawks’ Josephine Swisher was second in the 200.

Milford’s Rylee Coates was third in the 400.

Boys Results

In the boys meet, Nashua South’s Preston Bois took the pole vault at 13-6

South’s Sawyer Penny was second in the javelin and Collin Langer third in the discus. Isaiah Rodriguez was second in the 800.

Nashua North’s Gavin Suchecki was third in the 400

Alvirne’s Charles Barrett was a double winner, as he took the discus with a toss of 154-2 and the shot put at 46-2.

Bronco Joey Marcotte was second in the 110 hurdles.

Souhegan’s Brody Smith captured the 200 in 21.93, and was second in the 100 dash.

Merrimack’s Andrew Minichiello was second in the shot put.Kaiden Okowuga was third in the high jump as was Austin Cassetty in the long jump.The Tomahawks were also third in the 4×100 relay.

Milford’s Ethan Morin was second in the high jump, and the Spartans’ Grant Skorupan was second in the 1600. The Spartans’ foursome of Matthew and Josh Pettingell, Ethan Morin and Ky-ManiVelez-Boggis won the 4×100 relay in 43.45 seconds.

GIRLS TENNIS

BISHOP GUERTIN 8, PINKERTON 1

The Cardinals closed out the regular season with 12 straight match wins, accomplished Saturday when they swept singles from the Astros to finish 12-2.

Guertin winners were Anna Perrott (8-2), Georgie Howell (8-2), Lydia Miller (8-2), Dayana Cottito (8-0), Ainsley Flood (8-2) and Faith Hebert (8-0).

BG took No. 2 doubles (Howell/Flood, 8-1) and No. 3 (Cottito /Hebert, 8-2) to account for the final.

Guertin will likely – unofficially speaking – finish as the third seed in Division I, get a first-round bye, and host a quarterfinal on Thursday.

BASEBALL

LONDONDERRY 9, NASHUA NORTH 0

The Titans’ offensive struggles continue as they were blanked by the Lancers, who improved to 12-5 in Division I.

North has been shut out or scored one run in 14 of their 17 games. They will hope to snap a 16-game losing streak on Tuesday at Holman Stadium vs. Merrimack.)

SOFTBALL

MERRIMACK 8, BEDFORD 0

Marissa Nelson shut down the Bulldogs with nine strikeouts, allowing just three hits as the Tomahawks moved to 13-3

Ashley Senecal and Nelson had three hits apiece while Nelson also had two RBIs.

Allie Wyand had two hits, two runs and Bayleigh Robichaud, Kate Coolidg and Olivia Bure all had hits.

Merrimack takes on Nashua North on Wednesday.

BOYS LACROSSE

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 13, ALVIRNE 4 (Friday)

Bennett Torgerson (three goals, assist) scored his 100th career goal while Mike O’Hearn (three goals, assist), Sam Petrella (four goals), and Oliver Spencer (two goals, two assists) all had four points.

Also, on Senior Day, Luke Kinney had a goal, while Dillon Kinney and Cam Nichols anchored the HB defense in front of goalie Levi Mitchell (seven saves).
