The Bishop Guetin baseball train keeps chugging along, as the Cards’ win streak hit 10 on Wednesday. And, it’s the same for the Hollis Brookline nine, as they just pummeled Sanborn in a fight that wasn’t fair.

BASEBALL

BISHOP GUERTIN 8, MANCHESTER MEMORIAL 6

The Cardinals record sits at 12-4 after their 10th straight win. Brian Webb got the win allowing no hits and striking out three in four innings.

Leading the offense were Liam Ireland (three hits, two runs, RBI, two stolen bases), Gavin Santos (hit, three RBIs) and Jake Daley (hit, two RBIs).

BG visits Pinkerton on Friday.

ALVIRNE 13, MANCHESTER CENTRAL-WEST 3

The Broncos (4-11) won their third straight game as Brady Mitchell picked up his first win on the mound allowing three runs (two earned) and six hits while striking out six in five innings.

PJ Millette collected his first home run of the season and had two runs scored with three RBIs on the day. Luke Norse (hit, two runs), Gavin Baviello (three hits, three runs, two RBIs), Alex Drown (three hits, two runs, two RBIs) and Jasper Workman (hit, two runs, two RBIs) contributed to the offense.

Alvirne visits Manchester Memorial on Friday.

MONADNOCK 5, CAMPBELL 4

The Cougars (9-3) win streak ends at five after they come up short against Monadnock. Campbell erased an early 3-0 deficit with RBI hits from Aidan Kepple, Ivan Scheafer and Michael Grace in the third inning before tying the game again in the fifth on a Brody Pinciaro RBI groundout.

Jayden Medina led the Cougars with two hits, while Campbell was aggressive on the bases with seven stolen bases in the game. Monadnock answered with the go-ahead run in the fourth and held on late despite a strong effort from the Cougars. Campbell visits Gilford on Friday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 25, SANBORN 0

Connor Gryniewicz drove in six runs on three hits to lead the Cavs (13-1) to a dominant shutout win. Gryniewicz hit a grand slam to right field in the second scoring four, singled in the second scoring one, and doubled in the second scoring one. HB scored 18 runs in the second inning on the way to tallying 22 hits in the game.

Renzo Bergskaug, Keenan Myers and Gryniewicz each collected three hits. Thomas Howie, Matthew Bergin, Jackson Adams, Quinn Imbrogno and Marco Bergskaug each collected multiple hits. Matt Howie earned the win allowed no hits or runs and struck out three over three innings.

HB hosts Hanover on Friday.

SOFTBALL

MERRIMACK 16, NASHUA SOUTH 0

The Tomahawks (12-3) used an 11 run second inning to shutout the Panthers (5-10). Marissa Nelson struck out 11 and allowed one hit over five innings to pick up the win. Nelson tallied three hits and three RBIs to lead the offense.

Ashley Senecal collected three hits, Brianna Noonan had two hits and Bayleigh Robichaud added two hits and three RBIs. Allie Wyand, Cam Bellen and Katie Coolidge each had one hit. Maggie Donaghey took the loss giving up 12 runs on six hits and striking out two in one and two-thirds innings. Maliyah Richer-Valentin recorded the lone hit for the Panthers.

Merrimack visits Bedford and South hosts Londonderry on Friday.

PORTSMOUTH 18, NASHUA NORTH 0

The Titans (0-15) remain winless with a shutout loss to the Clippers. Hayden Denehy pitched 1.2 innings allowing two hits but 14 runs (but only seven earned), striking out two but also had control issues. Taina Anaya had one hit. North hosts Spaulding on Friday.

BOYS LACROSSE

NASHUA NORTH 12, MANCHESTER MEMORIAL-CENTRAL7

Jared Gauthier found the back of the net five times to help the Titans (4-10) to a win. Nick Wilkinson and Ricky McKenzie had two goals apiece and Josh Parsons made 13 saves. North hosts Timberlane on Friday.

MERRIMACK 14, SALEM 6

The Tomahawks (9-5) saw 10 different scorers in their win over the Blue Devils. Recording the points for the locals were Sean Anderson (two goals), Shea Scott (goal, two assists), Trevor Shorette (goal), Cayden Dine (two goals, assist), Josh Kahn (three goals, assist), Austin Kovaliv (two assists), Gavin Hickey (goal), Gabe Gorman (three goals), Connor Marshall (first varsity goal) and Liam Newman (assist).

Mason Tremblay had 14 saves and Seamus Hickey had one. Merrimack hosts Dover on Friday.

GOFFSTOWN 10, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 9

The Cavs (4-10) fall for the fourth consecutive time when they visited the Grizzlies. Mike O’Hearn and Sam Petrella each recorded three goals and an assist.

Bennett Torgersen scored three goals, Bryce Cote had one, Luke Kinney picked up six groundballs and Levi Mitchell made 16 saves. HB hosts Alvirne on Friday.

CONVAL 12, MILFORD 1

Bentley Bowers scored on an assist from Josh Clark and Rocco Bartling made nine saves for the Spartans (3-11). Milford visits Lebanon on Friday.

GIRLS LACROSSE

EXETER 16, NASHUA SOUTH 6

Carly Benzreki scored five goals in the Panthers (9-6) loss on Wednesday. Lexi McGuire added one goal and Emma Herlihy made five saves.

South hosts Windham on May 27.

MILFORD 7, CONCORD CHRISTIAN 6

Payton Gaj, Kaelyn Gryzb and Olivia Lochhead each scored two goals in the Spartans (3-10) win. Maggie Pelletier added one goal. Milford visits Alvirne on Friday.

SOUHEGAN 17, ANDOVER (MA) 4

The Sabers (11-1) record their ninth straight win on Wednesday. Libby Kennedy scored five goals and Izzy Stevenson collected three goals and four assists. Averie Curran and Lanai Hickman each scored two goals with Emmie Curran and Merideth Heimarck each adding one.

Souhegan visits Bishop Guertin today at 4 p.m. at Stellos Stadium.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

COE-BROWN 3, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 0

The Cavs (3-10) lost by the scores of 17-25, 9-25, 12-25. Jack Barnes and Cal Carlson played solid at the net. Zac Wu had 15 assists with Danigan Koenig and Liam Gagne playing well defensively. HB hosts Windham on Friday.

BOYS TENNIS

EXETER 8, NASHUA NORTH 1

The Titans in their season finale could only manage an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles by Brady O’Connor/Connor McInerney, finishing 4-9.

On Tuesday North fell to Keene 6-3 with wins coming from Dylan Mamos (8-3) and Hunter Sullivan (8-4), and the doubles team of Addy Veerendra and Risha Murray (8-3).

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 7, WINNACUNNET 2

The Cavs took five of six singles to get the win and improve to 11-2.

John Torpey (8-1), Sam Anthony (8-0), Sam Pistor (8-0), Greyson McSeveney (8-3) and Eli Mazzola (8-1) all triumphed.

Torpey/Pistor (8-0) and Dylan Legrow/Aidan Curley (8-2) won in doubles.

HB closes out the regular season Friday at Merrimack.

GIRLS TENNIS

SOUHEGAN 9, KINGSWOOD 0

The Sabers lineup of Callie Perrin (8-1), Ori Dart (8-0), Sophia Yates (8-6), Emma Perrin (8-2), Mari Dart (8-2), Elli Brower (8-0) swept singles, while Callie Perring/Ori Dart (8-1), Emma Perrin/Mari Dart (8-3) and Yates/Brower (8-0) did the same in doubles.

The 13-0 Sabers hope to wrap up the season unbeaten when they take on Merrimack today.

BEDFORD 9, NASHUA SOUTH 0

The Panthers (5-7) were swept but gave the Bulldogs in a couple of matches a run for their money. Nicky Matta fell 8-6 at No.6 and two doubles teams fell in tight matches: Krina Dani/Riya Shroff (8-6) and Gowri Akkineni/Nikhi Matta (8-5).

South is back at it today at home vs.Salem.
