It’s the high school season home stretch and there’s a couple of teams at Nashua South trying to push to grab tourney berths with 10 days to go in the regular season.

Here’s a look at that plus a dramtic win for North boys lacrosse:

SOFTBALL

NASHUA SOUTH 7, BEDFORD 6

The Panthers’ drive to make the Division I tournament continues as they won their third out of their last four games to improve to 5-9.

Cate Marvin’s ground out scored the winning run in the top of the seventh, snapping a 6-6 tie, after the Bulldogs rallied by four down.

Marvin survived the Bulldog rally to earn the win in the circle, despite giving up six runs on 10 hits.She strouck out seven and walked four.

Nashua had a 10-hit attack. Nicki Gates, Maliya Richer-Valentin, and Brooke Berger each had two hits Njau had two RBIs with a single in the fourth. Nashua also had five stolen bases, two by Richer-Valentin, and did not commit an error. Gates played well defensively with her hand in five outs.

The Panthers are back at it today at Merrimack.

MILFORD 12, LACONIA 11

The Spartans improved to 5-7 as Alivia Mazzeo led the offense with three hits and two RBIs and while dominating in the circle. Nadia Dutton had two hits and two RBIs while Mya Coombs drove in what proved to be the winning run.

Mazzeo went the distance in the circle, striking out three and did not allow an earned run.

The Spartans host Bow today.

BASEBALL

BEDFORD 18, NASHUA SOUTH 5

It was a tough afternoon for the Panthers (6-8) during their push to try to make the Division I tournament as the Bulldogs are red hot, getting their ninth straight win.

Jack Ninteau had an RBI and Jacoby Cassie had two hits for South, which hosts Merrimack today at Holman Stadium.

BOYS LACROSSE

NASHUA NORTH 14, SALEM 13 (OT)

Gavin Dungan scored in overtime to 4-improve the Titans to 4-10. It was his second goal of the game.

Nick Wilkinson led North with five goals while Dylan Noble added three and Jared Gauthier and Nico Bottari two each.

Josh Parsons had 19 saves for North, which hosts Timberlane on Friday at Stellos Stadium.

LACONIA 8, MILFORD 4

The Spartans were led by Dylan MacLeod (two goals, one assist), Bently Bowers (goal, assist), Josh Clark (goal) and Chris Bozza (assist).

Rocco Bartling had 16 saves in goal for Milford, now 3-10, is at ConVal today.

GIRLS LACROSSE

BISHOP GUERTIN 15, DOVER 4

Lola Dumont had a big day at Stellos with six goals, an assist and 10 draw controls as the Cards improved to 9-4.

Kaylee Cruikshank was next with three goals, assist, two draw controls. Bella Dawson added a pair of goals while Olivia Baker, Charlotte Accomando, Charlee Priest and McKensey Roedel each with a goal. Camryn Leighton had an assist.

The Cards will host Souhegan Thursday at Stellos in a clash of Division I contenders at 4 p.m.

GIRLS TENNIS

NASHUA SOUTH 5, WINDHAM 1

The Panthers won a storm-shortened match, winning five of the six singles with no doubles played.

Piya Chokshi (8-2), Krina Dani (8-1), Riha Shroff (8-2), Ananya Aran (8-1), and Gowri Akkieni (8-4) all picked up wins.

Now 5-6 with three matches left in the regular season, the Panthers are at unbeaten Bedford today as they look to hold on to a spot in next week’s Division I tournament.
