The Milford High School track was the place to be last weekend when the Spartans dominated a five-team boys and girls meet.

But it was also a nice night for lacrosse, better for Merrimack than for Goffstown.

BOYS & GIRL TRACK

MILFORD ROLLS TO WINS

The Spartans dominated in both the boys and the girls, each totaling 163 points ahead of second place ConVal (50 boys, 53.5 girls).

Souhegan (36) was third in the boys meet, followed by Tilton (31) and Wilton-Lyndeborough.

In the girls, Wilton was third (32) with Souhegan fourth (14) and Tilton fifth (10.5).

For the Milford boys, Josh Pettingell won both the 100 and 200 (11.33 and 23.03). Grant Skorupan was second in the 800 (2:11.48). Carter Macias won the 110 hurdles as the only competitor (18.97) and Chase Paiva did the same in the 300 hurdles (52.63).

Milford’s foursome of Ky-Mani Velez-Boggis, Josh and Matt Pettingell, and Ethan Morin won the 4×100 (43.26).

Milford swept the field events. Morin won the high jump (6-0), Maliki Blay the long jump (19-0) and triple jump (37-2.5), Bendan Mazerall the shot put (35-0.5) and discus (88-0), and Chase Paiva the javelin (99-2)

Souhegan got wins in the 400 from Lucas Steckbeck (53.13) in the 800 by Logan St. Denis (2:08.25) and Jacob Spencer in the 1600 (4:43.61). Drew Rigaut won as the only competitor in the 3200 (9:59.36).

In the girls meet, Rylee Coates (13.19) won the 100 and 200 (27.48), while Rachel Sixon took the 800 (2:28.11). Spartan Olivia Hyde won the 100 hurdles (17.55), the long jump (15-4.5) and the triple jump (27-8.5).

Zoe Rick won the shot put at 27-11.5, the discus (98-1.5) while Trinity Millner captured the javelin at 81-7.

Hyde, Jada Jones, Leila Lessage and Trinity Millner won the 4×100 in 54:35 while Peyton Tessier, Lessage, Coates and Sixon captured the 4×400 relay in 4:38.43.

Wilton-Lyndeborough’s Sydney Beamtook the 1600 in 6:15.75 and Souhegan’s Emma Tapley won the 300 hurdles in 55.64.

BOYS LACROSSE

MERRIMACK 8, GOFFSTOWN 4

The Tomahawks led all the way to improve to 8-4 as Shea Scott and Cayden Dine both had three goals and an assist. Sean Anderson had two goals while JoshKahn had an assist.

Mason Tremblay had 17 saves with some help in front of him by Landon Leblanc.

Merrimack is at Bedford on Monday.
