It was a good day to be a Saber on Friday. Rain didn’t dampen Souhegan baseball or girls lacrosse, as both posted wins with a couple of great efforts. Meanwhile, the Hollis Brookline girls tennis team is on a roll heading into the home stretch.

Here’s your slim Friday rundown thanks to Mother Nature:

BASEBALL

SOUHEGAN 10, LEBANON 0

The Sabers shutout Lebanon and improve to 7-5. Ethan Gaudet was on the mound for five innings allowing four hits and striking out six.

Pacing the offense were Alex Trudel (two hits, two RBIs), Joe Mayo (double, run), Blake Powers (two runs, stolen base), William Ricci (two runs, RBI, stolen base), Jaxson Densmore (run, stolen base), Brody Smith (three hits, two runs, four RBIs, stolen base) and Gaudet (two hits, two runs, RBI).

Souhegan visits Pelham on Monday.

SOFTBALL

CAMPBELL 18, HOLLIS BROOKLIE 4

The Cougars (4-7) win their third straight contest in dominant fashion against the winless Cavs (0-9). HB took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning. Playing well for HB were Brooklyn Olszewski (one strikeout), Kendall Dunn (three strikeouts), Emma Flynn (run), Madelyn Sinclair (double, stolen base) and Jenna O’Connor (hit, run).

Campbell visits Pembroke on Wednesday and HB visits Milford on Monday.

BOYS LACROSSE

CONCORD 10, NASHUA NORTH 5

Josh Parsons made 14 saves in net in the Titans (3-10) loss. Jared Gauthier scored two goals and Nico Bottari added one. North hosts Salem on Tuesday.

OYSTER RIVER 16, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3

The Cavs drop to 4-8 after a loss on the road to Oyster River. Luke Kinney scored two goals and Mike O’Hearn put one in. Levi Mitchell had 14 saves while Colten Herrera and Hunter Knight played well defensively.

HB hosts Winnacunnet on Monday.

GIRLS LACROSSE

SOUHEGAN 12, EXETER 7

The Sabers (9-1) continue to roll as they headed back from Exeter with their seventh consecutive win. Izzy Stevenson collected five goals and two assists with Libby Kennedy adding three goals to lead the offense.

Others playing well were Emmie Curran (two goals, assist), Averie Curran (goal, assist), Lanai Hickman (two goals), Sophie Jacobs (four assists) and Maddy Behn (four assists). Souhegan hosts Windham on Monday.

GIRLS TENNIS

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 9, MERRIMACK 0

HB dominated to improve to 9-4 with singles wins by Anna Heip;lik (8-0), Sapph Sidhu (8-4), Max Walsh (8-5) Carlie Holt (8-4), Maddie Barich and Bianca Campanella (both 8-0).

In doubles, Walsh/Holt (8-3), Sidhu/Barich (9-8) and Jenny Brodmerkle/Aliza Earle (8-2) completed the sweep.

The Cavs wrap up the regular season Monday at Bow, while Merrimack (1-11) hosts Manchester West on Monday.
