It was certainly a manic Monday in local high school action, with just about every local team taking the field or the courts with mixed results.

Here’s a look:

BASEBALL

SALEM 7, NASHUA SOUTH 4

The Panthers fell to 4-7 despite two hits each from Andeson Tolentino, Brendon Doughty and Garrett Schmidt.

Marcus Conti pitched well in relief for South, which is at Keene on Wednesday.

MERRIMACK 4, ALVIRNE 1

The Tomahawks (4-6) top the Broncos (1-10) in Hudson. Evan Sousa picked up the win allowing six hits, one run and striking out two in seven innings. Leading the offense were Ben Goldstein (two hits), Kyle Brander (hit, RBI), Zach Retey (hit, run), Logan Hoag (hit, RBI) and Gavin Graves (hit, run, RBI). Gavin Baviello took the loss allowing six hits and four runs in five innings. Jameson Krueger had three hits, Matt Bebris had two hits and a RBI and Brady Mitchell added a hit. Merrimack hosts Concord and Alvirne hosts Bedford on Tuesday.

CAMPBELL 12, SOMERSWORTH 1

Michael Grace was unstoppable as he struck out 10 and allowed two hits and one run in seven innings in the Cougars (7-2) win. Aidan Kepple and Ethan Johnson each had a two run RBI double with Ivan Schaefer hitting a two run home run. Braydon White led the way with three hits and Nate Federico had a multi hit game. Campbell visits Conant on Wednesday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 4, SOUHEGAN 2

Jordan Morelli struck out nine and allowed two runs on three hits in the Cavs (9-1) win over the Sabers (5-5). Keenan Myers (hit, run), Matt Bergin (hit, run, RBI), Connor Gryniewicz (hit, two RBIs) and Marco Bergskaug (two hits, hit, RBI) powered the offense. Blake Powers struck out seven and allowed three runs on five hits in the loss

Brody Smith, Alex Trudel, Joe Mayo (RBI) and Jacob Wilson all had a hit for the Sabers. HB visits John Stark on Tuesday and Souhegan visits ConVal on Wednesday

SOFTBALL

SALEM 7, NASHUA SOUTH 5

The Panthers (2-8) couldn’t erase a five run deficit and lose their fifth straight game. Cara Leblond (two hits, RBI), Brooke Berger (two hits, two stolen bases) and Maliyah Richer-Valentin (RBI) played well offensively. Cate Marvin took the loss allowing nine hits, seven run (eight earned) and struck out four. South visits Nashua North on Tuesday at Rivier’s Raider Diamond.

BEDFORD 12, NASHUA NORTH 0

The Titans (0-10) remain winless on the season with a loss to the Bulldogs. Maycie Hudson, Taina Anaya, Ava Durden, Julianna Cassista and Elin Maffee each had a hit. North hosts Nashua South tonight at Rivier.

MERRIMACK 12, ALVIRNE 0

Allie Wyand and Emma Chase combine to pitch a shutout while Katie Coolidge collected two hits and four RBIs and Olivia Burke added two hits for the Tomahawks.

Wyand, cam Bellen, Kendra Hendrzak, Healy Breault all had hits in the win. Merrimack is at Concord today, a game moved from Wednesday.

SOUHEGAN 13, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3

Violet Quesnel recorded two hits and three RBIs in the Sabers (4-4) dominant win over the Cavs(0-7). Grace Harrold (two hits), Lexi Wolsky and Alanah Dutremble played well in Souhegan’s win. Eva York got the win allowing four hits, three runs (two earned) and striking out 10 in four innings. HB saw hits from Jenna O’Connor, Madelyn Sinclair, Megan Eckman (RBI), Lindsey Emmons and Olivia Chakarian. Nina Giguere gave up eight hits and nine runs (eight earned) in five innings. Souhegan visits ConVal on Wednesday and HB visits John Stark on Tuesday.

OYSTER RIVER 17, MILFORD 4

The Spartans fall to 3-6 after a big loss to Oyster River. Mya Coombs (RBI), Haley Harrington and Teagan Goldstein all had a hit. Nadia Dutton and Lily Webster each added a RBI. Alivia Mazarin recorded her 200th career strikeout while splitting time I the circle with Ashley French. Milford hosts Laconia on Thursday.

BOYS LACROSSE

NASHUA SOUTH 7, KEENE 1

Braedyn Thyne scored three goals to help the Panthers (6-5) come home with a win over Keene. Max Signoroni (two goals, assist), Cody Jackson (two goals, assist), Grant Imbeault (two assists) and Jason Brinkley (assist) added to the offense. Bryce Stuart made 10 saves and Raiden Nuy-Chao won 11 face-offs. South hosts Dover on Wednesday.

HANOVER 9, SOUHEGAN 4

The Sabers (2-7) lose their fifth game in a row after a road loss to Hanover. Rod Goodhue(assist), Nate Hill, Owen Mobley and Judd Harris all scored goals. Souhegan hosts St. Thomas on Thursday

JOHN STARK 7, MILFORD 4

The Spartans (2-8) lose their fourth in a row when they faced off against John Stark. Tyler Noble and Bentley Bowers each scored two goals. Rocco Bartling made 10 saves. Milford visits Bow on Wednesday.

BOYS TENNIS

DOVER 8, BISHOP GUERTIN 1

The Cards (5-5) managed just one win, the No. 2 doubles team of Max Moynihan and and Maxx Lizotte winning 9-8 (72). BG hosts Keene today.

OYSTER RIVER 9, MERRIMACK 0

The matches were closer than the final score as three went to tiebreakers for the Tomahawks. Leon Rossman lost 9-8(7-2) at No. 1 singles, Patrick MacIsaac bowed in a marathon at No. 4 (9-8, 14-12) and the Rossman/Jeremy Nigen (9-8, 7-2) in doubles. Nigen lost a tough 9-7 match at No. 2 singles.

SOUHEGAN 8, COE-BROWN 1

Singles winners were Brian Goddard (8-0), Parker Schade (8-1), Patrick Bryson (8-1), Brock Keener (8-0), Rylan Aiston (8-4), Sean Sanderson (8-2). Doubles winners were Goddard/Schade (8-0) and Bryson/Keener (8-1). Souhegan(2-7) hosts Merrimack on Wednesday.

GIRLS TENNIS

BISHOP GUERTIN 8, DOVER 1

The Cardinals (9-2) won their ninth straight match on Monday afternoon. Singles winners were Georgie Howell (8-3), Jaclyn Kriscunas (8-5), Lydia Miller (8-4), Dayana Cottito (8-4) and Faith Hebert (8-0). Anna Perrott/Kriscunas (8-6), Howell/Miller (8-5) and Cottito/Hebert (9-7) won in doubles. BG visits Pinkerton on Thursday.

EXETER 6, NASHUA SOUTH 3

Riya Shroff (8-5), Ananya Arun (8-1) and Gowri Akkineni (8-6) won matches for the Panthers (4-5). South visits Bedford on Wednesday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 8, KINGSWOOD 1

Winning singles matches for the Cavs (7-4) were Anna Heiplik (8-0), Max Walsh (8-4), Maddie Barich (8-2), Bianca Campanella (8-3) and Jenny Brodmerkle (8-2). Doubles winners were Heiplik/Walsh (8-1), Carlie Holt/Campanella (8-6) and Barich/Brodmerkle (8-3). HB hosts Goffstown on Thursday.

SOUHEGAN 8, COE-BROWN 1

The Sabers (10-0) won their 10th straight match on Monday. Callie Perrin (8-0), Ori Dart (8-1), Sophia Yates (8-2), Emma Perrin (8-0) and Elli Brower (8-6) won in singles. Callie Perrin/Ori Dart (8-2), Emma Perrin/Mari Dart (8-2) and Yates/Brower (8-2) won in doubles. Souhegan visits Merrimack on Wednesday.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, MASCENIC 0

The Cavaliers enjoyed a 25-15, 25-20, 25-18 sweep, led by Zac Wu’s 26 assists, Jameson Evelyn’s 10 kills, and eight kills by Ben LeClerc.

Jack Barnes chipped in with four kills and a solid night blocking.
