The Cardinals of Bishop Guertin are enjoying that in baseball (five) and girls tennis (six) after wins on Tuesday.

That plus some more baseball, tennis, lacrosse, and a co-ed tri-meet in Hudson await your reading:

BASEBALL

BISHOP GUERTIN 7, TIMBERLANE 6

The Cards are red-hot as they won their fifth straight to move to 7-4.

Cooper Hand got the win, allowing three earned runs on seven hits over four innings while striking out five. Joe Moniz got the save with .2 innings pitched and two strikouts.

Gavin Santos (2 for 3, triple, two runs, RBI, stolen base), Caden Siraco (2 for 3, RBI), Cam Flanders (2 for 3, RBI, two stolen bases) and Ben Geiger (2 for 2, run, two RBIs) paced the BG offense.

Guertin is at Merrimack on Thursday.

PORTSMOUTH 8, ALVIRNE 0

Defense did in the Broncos (1-8) as they committed eight errors.

Brody Buja pitched well, not giving up an earned run over five innings (three unearned), striking out three. Paul Millette also pitched well for his 1.2 innings. But four hits wasn’t enough.

BOYS LACROSSE

EXETER 11, MERRIMACK 8

Shea Scott had three goals but it wasn’t enoughas the ‘Hawks fell to 6-3.Trevor Shorette, and Cayden Dine each had a goal and an assist whle Sean Anderson, GabeGorman and Reid Guidish each had a goal. Josh Kahn, Landon Leblanc and Liam Newman had assists.

Mason Tremblay had 13 saves in goal while Reid Gidish and Cash Torres split time at the faceoff X, winning 12 of 16.

Merrimack is at Windham on Thursday.

BOYS TENNIS

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 9. MILFORD 0

The Spartans gave the Cavs some competitive matches but HB pulled a sweep. John Torpey got by Will Emerson 8-6 and Sam Anthony edged Ben Emerson 9-7. Sam Pistor at No. 3 bested Marcus Kern 8-4 in the last fairly close match.

Other singles wins for HB were Greyson McSeveney (8-0), Eli Mazzola (8-1) and Dylan Legrow (8-2).

In doubles, Anthony/Legrow (8-2), Torpey/Pistor (8-3) and McSeveney/Mazzola (8-6) won, the latter a good showing by the Spartans’ Huseyin Alerin and Dylan Barber.

GIRLS TENNIS

BISHOP GUERTIN 9, MANCHESTER CENTRAL 0

The Cards are also thriving on the tennis court, winning their sixth straight to stand at 6-2 with a clean sweep of the Little Green.

Anna Perrott (8-0), Georgie Howell (8-3), Jaclyn Kriscunas (8-6), Lydia Miller (9-7), Dayana Cottito (8-0) and Ainsley Flood (8-1) all won in singles.

Perrott/Kriscunas, Howell/Miller and Cottito/Flood all won 8-0 in doubles.

BG is at Keene today, weather permitting.

BOYS & GIRLS TRACK

NORTH WINS, ALIRNE SECOND

Both the Nashua North boys and girls won their tri-meet vs. host Alvirne and Spauding. The Broncos were second in both.

In the boys meet, the Titans totaled 66 to 62 for Alvirne and Spaulding had 39.

Winners for North were Yandel Velazquez in the triple jump (38-11.75), Josh Sullivan in the high jump (6-0)., Tom White in the 1600 (4:55.28)

Alvirne winners: Charles Barrett in the shot put (44-7.5) and discus (131-11), Joey Marcotte in the long jump (20-9), 110 hurdles (14.81), 300 hurdles (39.89) Jaden Taylor in the 100 (11.08). North took the 4×400 relay in 3:37.60.

The Broncos 4×100 relay team of Sam Oquist, Marcotte, Taylor and Jeremiah Caraballo-Sophos won in 44.26. Caraballo-Sophos won the 200 in 22.29 and Ashton Rowe too the 3200 in 11:34.53.

In the girls meet, North totaled 80 points whle Alirne had 69 and Spaulding nine.

North got wins by Aniya Murray in the discus (96-4), Sarah Frye in the triple jump (34-0), Abigail Bozek in the 100 hurdles (17.00), Rosie Neveu in the 1600 (5:46.15), Allison Frye in the 400 (1:01.43) and 200 (26.05), Charlotte Wilson in the 300 hurdles (50.03),

North’s Allie Dandeneau, Sarah and Allie Frye and Katrina Neveu teamed for a 4×100 relay win in 52.88.

Alvirne winners were Isabelle Haven-Tate in the shot put (28-6), Reese Wanamaker in the long jump (15-5), Ava Tardif in the javelin (90-9), Sophie Sargent in the high jump (4-8), Jaden Taylor in the 100 (11.08), Mae Guiraud in the 800 (2:51.27), and Jane Makovly, Taelyn Downey, Guiraud, and Olivia Cartagena captured the 4×400 relay (4:29.11).
