You want drama? The Nashua High School South softball team has plenty for you – as well as runs — as they beat the Exeter Blue Hawks in walk-off fashion on Tuesday.
More? Two Hollis Brookline pitchers combined for a baseball no-hitter. How’s that for a big day?
There were other close games in a light schedule before the storms came, so let’s look at everything:
BASEBALL
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 6, BOW 0
Ian Sinclair and Ben George combined for the no-no. Sinclair tossed 5.1 innings, striking out 11, while George got out of a bases loaded jam with a pop out and strikeout, and had four K’s in 1.2 innings.
The Cavs also took advantage of a whopping 13 walks issued by Falcons pitching. Jordan Morelli, Marco Bergskaug and Renzo Bergskaug led the team with three walks each. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers stole an incredible 14 bases in the game Keenan Myers three hits and Morelli had a double as well.
HB is at Kennett on Wednesday.
