HS Hockey Roundup: Cards, Admirals, WarHawks win

Hockey was the sport of the day Wednesday with local high schools, and the Bishop Guertin Cardinal boys may be playing their best of the year right now.
BG, Alvirne-Milford, and Merrimack-Hollis Brookline-Derryfield all came up with victories here as the season winds down by the end of the week:
BOYS HOCKEY
BISHOP GUERTIN 6, BEDORD 1
The Cards turned a 1-1 game into a rout with three second period goals, improving to 12-5 on the season.
Jason Schultz had two goals to lead the way while Gavin Santos (with two assists), Owen Murphy (plus an assist), Jack Stone, and Jordan O’Hearn all scored a goal apiece. Luca Ferrari and Cam Vaillancourt each had two assists, while others went to Anthony Dobrutchi, Dom Trepanier, and Will McBournie also had assists. BG wraps up the regular season at Exeter on Saturday.
ST. THOMAS 3, NASHUA NORTH-SOUTH 0
The Knights fell to 4-13, despite a good game (27 saves) from goaltender Brendon Reudt vonCollenberg.
STA goalie Zack Pattow had 25 saves to earn the shutout. The Knights wrap up the season Saturday at Conway Arena vs. local foe Alvirne-Milford.
The Saints,defending Division II champs, wrap up the regular season 14-4.
ALVIRNE-MILFORD 7, PORTSMOUTH-NEWMARKET-SANBORN 0
Luke Green had two goals and two assists while Brandon Callahan had two goals and an assist as the Admirals improved to 13-4.
Dylan MacLeod and Brandon Ganas had a goal and an assist while Chris Bozza had A-M’s other goal. Other assists went to Mason Tomkins, Evan Pargas and Landon Briand.
Ari Scarbo and Mason Komarek split goaltending duties in getting the win.
MHBDS 4, SOMERSWORTH-COE-BROWN 1
It was May Day for the WarHawks as Alex May had a hat trick while Bryson Smith scored their other goal. MHBDS wraps up a 9-8-1 regular season.
Josh Kahn had two assists, while other assists went to Colin Hamlin, Evan Bertrand, Ben Hazard Tyler Allen and Will Farrell. Goaltender Liam Gagne had 17 saves in getting the win.
GIRLS HOCKEY
PINKERTON 10, BISHOP GUERTIN 9
The Cards suffered a tough one-goal loss at Delta Dental Arena (formerly Tri-Town) in Hooksett to wind up the season a tough 3-15.
The Astros scored the game-winner with 14 seconds left in regulation in a wild back-and-forth affair. Lilah Katz led BG with five goals, while Ari Piascik had a pair, and Carly Green (goal, assist), Haley Gagne (goal, two assists), Grace Spangler (three assists), Mady Carroll and Addy Noel (assist each) also contributed.
