HS Roundup: South, North boys hoop win, as do Panther girls

Friday was a good night for high school basketball in the city of Nashua and beyond. Here’s a look:
BOYS BASKETBALL
NASHUA SOUTH 75, TIMBERLANE 43
Francisco Rodriguez Malagon sunk 21 points in the Panthers (6-6) win over the Owls. Josh Tripp and Joey Signoroni each tallied eight points.
South hosts Bishop Guertin on Tuesday.
NASHUA NORTH 55, KEENE 44
The Titans (5-8) bested the Black Birds on Friday night. Tyson Hoang (15 points), Josh Sullivan (12 points), Evan Linscott (11 points) and Andre Kargbo (11 points) led the balanced attack. South hosts Portsmouth on Monday.
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 73 KENNETT 73
The visiting Cavaliers remained unbeaten (13-0) as they led 32-25 at the half and pulled away in the second half vs. the 6-6 Eagles.
Top scorers for HB were Renzo Bergskaug (19 points), Alton Williams (18), and Dylan Kelley and James Arthur each with 14 points.
SOUHEGAN 71, JOHN STARK 29
Wes Hickman had a game high 17 points as he helps the Sabers (6-7) break their four game losing streak. Matt Nowak had a great game as well securing 15 points. All 13 players on the roster scored for the locals. Souhegan visits Plymouth on Tuesday.
CAMPBELL 59, SOMERSWORTH 38
Jayden Medina was unstoppable scoring 32 points and adding seven steals in the Cougars (7-8) third straight win. Nate Federico had 10 points and eight assists and Adam Correa added 10 points. Campbell visits Raymond on Tuesday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
NASHUA SOUTH 49, MANCHESTER CENTRAL-WEST 34
The Panthers improve to 10-3 after their road win on Friday. Anya Challinger led with 10 points, Addie Borden scored nine with Nicole DeJesus and Hailey Cote adding eight apiece. South visits Merrimack on Monday.
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 44, KENNETT 22
The Cavs (9-4) continue to roll as they win their sixth straight contest. Kendall Dunn collected 11 points, Harper DeBoisbriand scored 10, Payton Dunn added eight and Brooke Bouchard had six. Ana O’Donnell was absent due to the flu. HB hosts Kingswood on Tuesday.
MERRIMACK 60, WINNACUNNET 43
Meg McCarthy collected 25 points and five steals, while Avary Cruz registered a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds in the Tomahawks (3-9) win. Merrimack hosts Nashua South on Monday.
CAMPBELL 39, SOMERSWORTH 29
Katie Fluet stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocks in the Cougars (6-9) win on the road. Zoe Bourque added 10 points. Campbell hosts Raymond on Tuesday.
BOW 58, MILFORD 43
The Spartans (5-7) trailed at half 27-11 and could never recover despite many efforts. Milford was led by Shea Hansen’s 26 points. Jordyn Shaw (five points), Lexi Bausha (three points) and Maggie Pelletier (three points) played well in the loss. Milford visits Coe-Brown on Tuesday.
