HS ROUNDUP: South stuns Bedford, big night for Alvirne’s Hall
Quite a night in local high school basketball Tuesday as the Nashua South boys stunned Bedford and Alvirne’s Garrett Hall hit a big milestone:
BOYS BASKETBALL
NASHUA SOUTH 68, BEDFORD 65
The Panthers (5-6) grab a big win over the Bulldogs in a total team effort. Francisco Rodriguez had a team high 16 points, Shane Lemire scored 14, and Daniel Karavanic added 10; while Josh Tripp and Rigo Challinger had nine apiece. South hosts Timberlane on Friday.
ALVIRNE 60, NASHUA NORTH 55
Garrett Hall collected 21 points and his 1,000th career point as the Broncos (8-4) regroup after a two game skid. Angel Kangar scored 11 points with Luke Norse and Cam St. Clair tallying eight apiece. North (4-8) saw good performances from Tyson Hoang (15 points), Josh Sullivan (14 points), Evan Linscott (11 points) and Andre Kargbo (nine points). Alvirne visits Bedford and North hosts Keene on Friday.
CAMPBELL 49, CONANT 39
Nate Federico (25 points, five steals) and Jayden Medina (15 points, 10 rebounds) stuffed the stat sheet in the Cougars (6-8) home win. Campbell hosts Somersworth on Friday.
PEMBROKE 57, SOUHEGAN 39
The Sabers (5-7) fall for the fourth time in a row with a road loss. Joe Mayo scored 13 points and Wes Hickman had 10. Souhegan hosts John Stark on Friday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 53, TIMBERLANE 50
Ana O’Donnell tallied 19 points in the Cavs (8-4) fifth straight win. Others contributing in the win were Mya Blackman (19 points), Kendall Dunn (nine points), Sam Disco (six points) and Brooke Bouchard (seven points). HB hosts Kennett on Friday.
CAMPBELL 35, CONANT 30
The Cougars (5-9) defeated Conant on Tuesday to earn their first road win of the season. Playing well for Campbell were Zoe Bourque (12 points), Amelia LaPlante (11 points), Katie Fluet (eight points, 12 rebounds, seven blocks), Kate Silver (21 rebounds). Campbell visits Somersworth on Friday.
MILFORD 46, BISHOP BRADY 22
The Spartans (5-6) led 20-6 after the first quarter and didn’t look back in their second win in two days. Shea Hansen led all scorers with 16 points, Lexi Bausha tallied 10 while Kaelyn Gryzb and Maya Remella each added six. Milford hosts Bow on Friday.
MERRIMACK 55, DOVER 49
The Tomahawks (2-9) end their seven game losing streak on the road against Dover. Meg McCarthy had a career high 37 points. Avary Cruz scored six of her 12 points in the last minutes of the game to seal the deal. Merrimack hosts Winnacunnet on Friday.
PEMBROKE 44, SOUHEGAN 34
The Sabers (7-5) fall to Pembroke late in the fourth quarter. Nayaa Dineshkumar (seven points, nine rebounds), Bryn Siska (seven points, nine rebounds), Zofia Rosenfield (seven points) and Julia Skelton (seven points) played well in the loss. Souhegan visits John Stark on Thursday.

Hunter St. Onge dominated the court scoring 21 points in the Panthers playoff win. Zack Ostrowski hit a three-pointer late to take the lead for good. Mason Bailey, Akshath Saravanan and Anthony Mitchell played incredible defense and Tyler Dube, Eric Perez, Jas Padilla Tellez and Siam Chaudry added scoring off the bench. South will visit No. 1 Dover on Friday in the Quarterfinals.
