It was a busy, snowy Saturday as despite the weather the shows went on, including the Military Appreciation Day at Conway Arena that also featured the Souhegan-Nashua North-South girls hockey team in action.

It was also day for the latest rendition of the Concord-Bishop Guertin hockey rivalry. That, a hot Alvirne-Milford squad, and some wrestling await your viewing:

LEBANON-KEARSARGE-MASCOMA 7, SOUHEGAN-NASHUA 0

The irony is that although the Storm was shut out, in the eyes of head coach Shannon Paquette and assistant Lauren Norton, “It was one of the best games we have played all season,” Paquette said, and Norton noted it was only 2-0 after one.

“What held us back was not having the stamina to keep up with Lebanon’s speed over a full 45 minutes,” Norton said.

Playing well offensively for the Storm were Anna Fole, Briley Landsteiner, Gabby Cook and Chinyere Stanley, while Devin Brown played well defesnsively in front of the net and in the corners.

The Storm, now 2-6, are at Salem on Wednesday.

BERLIN-GORHAM-KENNET 10, BISHOP GUERTIN 2

The Cards have seen the momentum from a recent two-game winning streak slide away after two straight 10-2 losses. BG, now 2-6, is at Bedford on Wednesday.

The Cards (3-3) had tied it at 6:45 at 3 on Jordan O’Hearn’s second goal, assisted by Dom Trepanier and Luca Ferrari (two on the night) Gavin Santos had a goal and an assist.
