Wrestling Roundup: Milestone for Milford’s Wales; Sabers shine

It wasn’t just hockey and basketball going on these last couple of days. Here’s a look at what has happened with a couple of local wrestling teams, with a milestone taking place:

MILFORD 70, KINGSWOOD 3

The Spartans rolled vs. the Knights but also got a milestone as Eli Wales at 190 got his 100th career win.

Other winners included Connor Hartigan (106), Mason Sullivan (113), Kiki Lordan (129), Max Hammerstrom (126), Kane Davis (132), Cam Stickney (138), Cali LaJoie (144), Tanner Herbert (150), Phil Wright (157), Jace Wilhelmi (165), Jack Clancy (175) and Jamie Noble (285).

SABERS SEVENTH IN NOBLE

The Souhegan High School wrestlers were seventh out of 45 New England teams – second among New Hampshire teams – in the two-day Noble Tournament in North Berwick, Me.

Three Sabers were place winners who went on to wrestle on the second day.

Final place winners were Jack Kaler, who won at 132, while Gabe Holt was third at heavyweight and Chase Knuckles was fifth at 144.
