SPLASH! Panthers make big one in season-opening meet

The Nashua High School South boys and girls swim teams couldn’t have started the 2025-26 swim season any better.
The Panthers had a dominant performance, going unbeaten in a quad meet with Nashua North, Merrimack and Hollis Brookline on Sunday at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua.
The South boys beat North 90-58, Merrimack (no competitors) 118-0, and HB 103-39.
The Panther girls, meanwhile, topped the Titans 114-62, Merrimack 127-23, and Hollis Brookline 106-70.
The North boys blanked Merrimack, and beat HB 67-42, while HB got credit for win over the ‘Hawks.
As for the rest of the girls team results, North beat Merrimack 84-22, but fell to HB, 94-62. The Cavs also beat Merrimack 109-13.
In the boys meet, the Panthers showed their depth. Cole DeHoyos (27.74) and Chris Jansen (27.75) were one-two in the 50 free. Nate Perry was second in diving.
The 200 Free Relay foursome of DeHoyos, Ayaan Parmar, Jansen, and Perry were first in 1:51.81.
DeHoyos won the 100 back (1:07.66) while Pratham Mukewar captured the 100 breast in 1:18.83. Parmar Sebastian Woodward, Daniel Jacob and Likhith Bavisetti took the 12 points as the only competitors in the 400 free relay in 5:54.92.
North got a win in the 200 Medley Relay via the foursome of Tom White, Jack White, Luke Frenette and Dawson Bolton in 2:00.90. Tom White took the 200 free in 2:11.61 and the 500 free (only competitor) in 6:03.55. Bolton was the top diver at 159.95 and Jack White won the 100 free in 55.7
HB’s Jack Ablondi won the 200 IM in 2:04.67, second in the 100 free and third in the 200 free.
In the girls meet, South captured the 200 Medley Relay in 2:18.76 with Mara Grigas-Lewis, Keegan Dolan, Natasha Mallya and Teresa Mathew. Mallya won the 200 IM in 3:03.41, Mathew the 50 free in 28.06, and Dolan the 100 fly in 1:14.59.
South won the 200 Free Relay behind Dolan, Mallya, Mara Grigas-Lewis, and Mathew in 2:00.06 as the only team competing.
Anya Seo helped pace North as she took the 200 Free in 2:13.69 and the 100 free in 1:02.62.Kaylee Hall (168.80) and Savanna Basford (140.60) were one-two in diving. Titan Claire Hathaway-Rube got the points for the 500 free as the only competitor in 8:01.41.
HB’s Olivia Chakarian (30.98) was second in the 50 free as the Cavs took the next three places. HB was second in the 200 Medley relay (Eva Zgurskaya, Addyson Olszewski, Shantell Rizzitano and Chakarian). Rizzitano was third in the 100 free. The foursome of Charlotte Watrous, Aby Hood, Chakarian and Rizzitano won the 400 free relay in 4:54.55.
Merrimack’s Katherin Fischer was seventh in the 100 free and Trinity Dalbec-Joyal 10th in the 50 free.
