By Tom King - Staff Writer | Nov 1, 2025

It was a great day Friday for local teams in the soccer tournaments as Campbell and Hollis Brookline are on a collision course in Division II boys. They’ll square off in the semifinals on Monday at Exeter’s Bill Ball Stadium at 4 p.m.

For more, including what’s on tap for today in the postseason, read on:

BOYS SOCCER

NO. 6 HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, NO. 3 PEMBROKE 0

John Constantine had two goals while Logan Gormley had a goal as the Cavaliers move to the semis for the first time in four years. Ian Sinclair had six saves in earning the clean sheet.

HB takes on Campbell in the semis on Monday.

NO. 2 CAMBPBELL 2, NO. XX COE BROWN 1

The Cougars got goals by Brady Marcotte and Caiden Lavoie, while assists went to Ethan and Christian Bellino.

The Cougars take on local rival HB on Monday in the semis.

GIRLS SOCCER

NO. 3 CAMPBELL 4, NO. 6 GILFORD 1

The Cougars fine season continues, and now they will take on the only team to beat them, No. 2 Raymond, in the semifinals on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Bedford’s Bulldog Stadium.

TODAY’S GAMES

Well, it starts with field hockey, as Souhegan, Division II’s top seed, hopes to cap off a championship season vs. No. 2 Bow at 5 p.m. at Bedford High School.

But it’s a big day in Nashua for soccer with an old fashioned local doubleheader. No. 1 Nashua South takes on No. 8 Exeter at 11 a.m. at Stellos Stadium. And, shortly after at 2 p.m., No. 3 Bishop Guertin hosts No. 6 Hanover while No. 5 Merrimack head to No. 4 Windham at 3 p.m.

In girls soccer, Division II has a busy day as No. 1, two-time defending champion Holli Brookline (15-0-1) hosts No. 8 Lebanon (7-4-6) at 3 p.m. The two teams played to a 0-0 tie in late September, the only blemish on HB’s record.

But the Cavs aren’t the only Division II team with home field. The No. 4 Milford Spartans (9-4-3) are reaping the benefits of a successful season and after a first-round bye will face No. 5 John Stark (7-2-7) at 3 p.m. The two teams — as one might expect with Stark’s record — played to a 2-2 tie a month ago.

Volleyball has big day in Division II with quarterfinals. No. 4 Milford will host No. 5 Hanover at 6 p.m. and No. 8 Souhegan has to visit No. 1 Oyster River at 4 p.m.

The cross country boys and girls Meet of Champions will be at Alvirne at 2:30 p.m.
