HS Roundup: Neary everywhere for BG; Bronco volleyball clinches tourney spot

It’s the final week of the high school non-football sports regular season, and teams are trying to jockey for position or fight to get into their respective NHIAA state tournaments.
The Bishop Guertin boys soccer team continued its winning ways, and so did the Nashua North girls volleyball team. Meanwhile, the Alvirne girls volleyball team clinched a tourney berth for the first time in several years.

BOYS SOCCER
BISHOP GUERTIN 5, KEENE 2
The Cards are now 12-1-2, led by Ryan Neary’s two goals and two assists in their final regular season home game as he played five positions on the field.
Trenton Cormier added two goals while Andrew Klyop and Tavish Keenan each had goals. Alex Haight added two assists while Nick Chartier had one. Beau Boughter had four saves in goal.
Guertin wraps up its best regular season in ages at Goffstown on Thursday night.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
NASHUA NORTH 3, SPAULDING 1
The Titans improved to 12-4, recovering after losing the first set 25-16 to taking the next three 25-13, 25-22, 25-15. Logan Sartor took control on offense for North, which is at Alvirne on Wednesday.
TIMBERLANE 3, NASHUA SOUTH 0
The Panthers fell to 3-13 after being swept 25-23, 25-12, 25-21.
Riley Britton had six kills and five digs while Hannah Perez had seven kills, and one block. Rebecca Walters had a productive night as well with 15 digs, eight assists and five kills.
South hosts Pinkerton on Wednesday.
DOVER 3, BISHOP GUERTIN 2
The Cards (13-3) dropped the fifth set 15-13 after forcing the deciding set with a 25-20 win in set four. They also took the opener 25-19 but dropped the next two to the Green Wave (12-4) by 26-24, 25-20.
Guertin still got phenomenal performances by Caitlin Harrington, Thalia Drapeau, Claudia Daniel and Alisa Maillet.
BG is at Spaulding on Wednesday.
ALVIRNE 3, CONCORD 1
The visiting Broncos got back to .500 at 8-8 with a 25-20, 25-16, 12-25, 25-19.
Mena Lewis’ five aces and 26 assists led the way with Hailee Lane an Ava Ellis having 10 and six kills, respectively.
Lisa Amadi and Kya Maben also played well at the net (blocks, kills). Alvirne hosts Nashua North on Wednesday.
PORTSMOUTH 3, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 0
The Cavs are now 5-11 after bowing 25-20, 25-22, 25-15.
Shelby Klaassens had five kills while Nicole Kosakowski added four aces. Alana Adams, Dami Holman and Hershey Vedula had three aces apiece.
HB has its Senior Night Wednesday vs. Timberlane.
