HS Roundup: Frye’s seven goals pace North; HB wins again

How to prepare for big game? Score a lot of goals, that’s how.

That’s what Nashua High School North’s Allison Frye did on Tuesday in a win at Manchester Memorial, with Bishop Guertin awaiting the Titans on Thursday. Also in girls soccer, Hollis Brookline extended its unbeaten streak while Campbell lost in a battle of unbeatens. In girls volleyball, Nashua North has reached the 10-win plateau.

Here are the details that for many was a Terrific Tuesday:

GIRLS SOCCER

NASHUA NORTH 9, MANCHESTER MEMORIAL 0

Alli Frye was unstoppable scoring seven goals in the Titans (11-1) dominant win. Sarah Frye (goal, five assists), Rosie Clark (goal), Natalie Bryant (assist) and Maja Ray-Hokanson (two assists) also put numbers in the box score.

North takes on Bishop Guertin on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Stellos Stadium.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 2, KINGSWOOD 0

The Cavaliers improved to 12-0-1, extending their three-year unbeaten streak to 51 games. Marleigh Kreick scored both goals, assisted by Molly Reardon.

Goalkeepers Maddy Leonard and Mya Blackman combined for the shutout.

The Cavs face the last program to have beaten them, Pelham (in 2022 Division II semis) on Friday at home at 4 p.m.

KEENE 2, MILFORD 1

Shea Hansen scored the lone goal for the Spartans (6-4-3) in their loss to the Black Birds. Trinity Milner made six saves. Milford visits Pembroke on Friday.

BOYS SOCCER

KINGSWOOD 6, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 4

The Cavs (5-5-3) fall short in a high paced offensive match against Kingswood. Andrew Desmairas, Camden Sanford, Mark Smith (two assists) and John Constantine (assist) scored one goal apiece. HB visits Pelham on Friday.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

WINNACUNNET 3, NASHUA SOUTH 1

The Panthers fall to the Warriors 25-21, 23-25, 24-26, 20-25. Hannah Perez recorded five kills and five blocks, while Addy Campbell collected 20 digs, three kills and two aces. South hosts Merrimack on Wednesday.

NASHUA NORTH 3, KEENE 0

The Titans improved to 10-4 with a 25-13, 25-4, 25-11 sweep of the winless (0-14) Blackbirds, led by Ruby Zeman serving and Hayley Maurhoff’s play at the net. North is at Dover on Friday.

MILFORD 3, PLYMOUTH 0

The Spartans (11-2) sweep Plymouth 25-12, 25-14, 25-19. Key players in the win were Kassie Cupin (18 assists, 11 digs, ace), Savannah Watson (eight kills, 10 digs, two aces), Harper Anderson (eight kills, five digs, ace) and Paige Davis (11 digs, four aces). Milford visits Manchester Memorial on Thursday.
