It wasn’t a good night for most area football teams other than the two all-local battles.
Nashua North, Alvirne and Hollis Brookline all had tough nights:
DIVISION I
BEDFORD 35, NASHUA NORTH 0
There wasn’t much good for the Titans, who fell behind 28-0 at the half and never recovered vs. the unbeaten Bulldogs in Bedford.
Bedford now moves to 6-0 while the Titans fell to 2-4 with their fourth straight loss. North will be at Portsmouth-Oyster River next Friday.
PINKERTON 56, ALVIRNE 17
The Astros were in control but Alvirne’s best offensive players still reached the end zone. Ethan Dudley threw to Mike Landmesser for one score and ran for another. Suleiman Suleiman added a 27-yard field goal.
Now 1-5, Alvirne Alvirne heads to Timberlane next Friday.
DIVISION II
CONVAL 33, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 14
The host Cavs allowed the Cougars to score 33 unanswered points in the second half to fall to 1-5.
Steve Nieble hit Landon Barry on an 11-yard TD pass and Neble ran 5 yards for a score with a Cole Duncan 2-point reception for the Cavs to grab a 14-0 lead, but it didn’t last.
HB is at Pembroke next weekend.
