HS Roundup: South boys, North girls lead local winners

There were plenty of winners locally on Tuesday in high school action around the area.Let’s take a look:

BOYS SOCCER

NASHUA SOUTH 4, DOVER 0

The Panthers (10-0-1) shutout the Green Wave on Tuesday. Damien Rodrigues scored two goals with Kevin Araujo and Michele Esposito netting one apiece. South honored Gary Gutierrez, Diego Jimenez, Sander Henriksen, Edwin Rodriguez, Steve Long, Tyler Leatherman and Nirav Chenji on Senior Night. South visits Goffstown on Thursday.

MERRIMACK 2, PINKERTON 0

Hunter Joseph and Kaiden Martin found the back of the net in the Tomahawks (6-2-3) win over the Astros. Armin Omeraic grabbed the shutout with 10 saves. Merrimack visits Timberlane on Thursday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 2, COE-BROWN 2

Andrew Desmarais and James Arthur scored first half goals on two assists from Mark Smith in the Cavs (4-4-3) tie. Ian Sinclair provided six saves in net. Josh Barich, Graham Keller, Oliver Bettencourt and Logan Gormley led the backline. HB visits Bow on Friday.

GIRLS SOCCER

NASHUA NORTH 8, ALVIRNE 3

Alli Frye (three goals, three assists) and Sarah Frye (goal, four assists) paced the offense in the Titans (9-1) win over the Broncos (0-8-2). Others putting numbers in the box score were Ava Tremblay (goal), Katie Azevedo (two goals), Maja Ray-Hokanson (goal) and Brianna Blake (assist).

North hosts Bedford on Saturday and Alvirne visits Manchester Central-West on Friday.

BISHOP GUERTIN 2, HANOVER 1

The Cardinals improve to 10-1-1 with a road win over Hanover. Zoe Horton-Sousa and Kareena Sondhi scored for BG. Emerson Brown an Charlotte Accomando each tallied an assist. Maddi Long, Sophia Hickey, Paige Gabriel and Hadley Comeau held down the backline. BG hosts Salem on Saturday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, COE-BROWN 1

Samantha Disco, Marleigh Kreick and Rosalie DeSantis lead the Cavs (10-0-1) over Coe-Brown. Kai Swart and Molly Reardon recorded one assist apiece. Maddy Leonard (five saves), Ysa Ramas, Livie Ward, Olivia Langfield and Grace Dow contributed in the win. HB hosts Bow on Friday.

MILFORD 2, LACONIA 1

Kinsley Matsis and Maya Remella each scored as the Spartans (5-3-3) squeeze by Laconia. Milford hosts ConVal on Friday.

FIELD HOCKEY

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, PELHAM 0

Caroline Crawford, Molly Wertheimer and Ellie Kellner scored for the Cavs (9-2-1) in the shutout win over the Pythons. HB hosts Kennett on Thursday.
