HS Roundup: South boys top Hanover; HB field hockey wins

The first third of the boys soccer season is over, and the Nashua South Panthers have to be happy.Their win Friday was just part of some of the local achievements, so let’s take a look:
BOYS SOCCER
NASHUA SOUTH 3, HANOVER 0
The Panthers record their third straight shutout to improve to 5-0-1. Michele Esposito, Damien Rodrigues and Vito Pegas each found the back of the net. Nirav Chenji and Kevin Araujo added to the winning effort.
South tangles with Nashua North on Tuesday in the Battle of the Bridge at Stellos Stadium.
MERRIMACK 2, EXETER 2
Ryan Cirillo and Kaiden Martin each scored a goal in the Tomahawks (4-1-2) tie with the Blue Hawks. Merrimack hosts Hanover next Thursday.
FIELD HOCKEY
EXETER 7, NASHUA SOUTH 1
The Panthers (1-7) lose their fourth straight game after visiting the Blue Hawks. Addie Borden scored off a pass from Sofia Forti. Meury Navarette and Lily Hurd made 11 and four saves respectively. Keegan Dolan, Wylie Hart and Maddie Langer also played well. South takes on Nashua North on Monday in the Battle of the Bridge at Stellos Stadium.
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 1, BOW 0
The Cavs (4-2) get back on track after losing their last two contests. Brooke Bouchard scored on an Ashley Disco assist. Maddie Barich made six saves in the shutout. HB visits Kingswood on Tuesday.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
LONDONDERRY3. NASHUA SOUTH 0
The Panthers drop to 2-4 in their loss to the Lancers by the scores of 17-25, 20-25, 17-25. Hannah Perez (five kills, three blocks), Addy Campbell (eight digs, four aces) and Briley Landsteiner (15 digs) played well in the loss. South visits Nashua North on Wednesday.
ALVIRNE 3, WINDHAM 1
The Broncos (3-3) shock the Jaguars 26-24, 24-26, 25-21, 25-22. Mena Lewis led the way by collecting eight aces and 24 assists. Kya Maben and Hailee Lane each had six kills, while Lisa Amadi tallied six blocks. Alvirne hosts Salem on Tuesday.
MERRIMACK 3, CONCORD 1
The Tomahawks (2-6) snap their six game losing streak by defeating Concord 21-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-21. Leah Monroe (three aces, 19 kills, eight digs), Belle Stiles (26 assists), Lucy Althouse (four blocks) and Mia Cruz (15 digs) had big contributions in the win. Merrimack hosts Windham on Monday.
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, EXETER 0
The Cavaliers improved to 3-4 with a 26-24, 25-20, 25-13 sweep, Dam Burke had five kills and three aces, while Hersey Vedula (five kills, one ace) and Shelby Klassens (five kills) also helped out.
HB hosts Salem next Friday.
