Tourney Mayhem! Weather, graduations force changes

Got any idea of when your favorite local high school team will be playing this weekend in the NHIAA spring tournaments?
You may think you do, but you definitely better double check.
The reschedulings of games have been fast and furious in the last day, not only due to today’s expected poor weather, but also school graduations and other senior activities.
Here’s a look by sport at how things stand:
BASEBALL
You’d have to think diamond teams are in trouble with today’s expected rain, but here goes:
No. 9 Bishop Guertin’s Division I quarterfinal vs. Pinkerton set for today has been moved to Sunday at noon in Derry.
In Division II, Hollis Brookline’s home quarterfinal vs. Kingswood is now set for Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Hollis. No. 1 Souhegan’s game vs.No. 9 Pembroke was still on but the venue changed: it’s now at Southern NH University at 4 p.m. Weather permitting, of course.
In Division III, No. 6 Campbell at No. 3 Bishop Brady will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Concord’s Memorial Field.
SOFTBALL
No. 7 Bishop Guertin at No. 2 Windham was moved to Sunday at 5 p.m. in the Division I quarterfinals.
In Division II, No. 11 Campbell at No. 3 Oyster River was still slated for today but moved to 6 p.m. in Durham.
GIRLS LACROSSE
This is where the most changes are, as the Division I semifinals were moved from today to Sunday in Exeter, with No. 3 Souhegan facing No. 2 Pinkerton at 5 p.m. at Bill Ball Stadium. Exeter’s graduation was moved from Saturday to Sunday and so was the girls lax.
And a graduation impacted another local, this time in the Division II semis. Just one game – Merrimack vs. Merrimack Valley which was supposed to be today at noon was moved to Sunday at noon, still at Nashua’s Stellos Stadium, thanks to MV’s graduation on Saturday. The other semi, Winnacunnet vs. Hanover, was still set for today at 2 p.m. at Stellos.
BOYS LACROSSE
Not many changes, but Hollis Brookline’s quarterfinal vs. St. Thomas that was set for Friday was moved due to the storms to today at 3:30 p.m. at HB.
In Division I, No. 2 Bishop Guertin is still set to host Concord at Stellos Stadium today at 5 p.m. However, Merrimack at Exeter was moved all the way to Monday at 5 p.m.
In Division III, No. 6 Campbell at No. 3 Bow is now 1 p.m. today.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Even this sport did not go unscathed. Londonderry at Hollis Brookline, originally set for Friday, was moved yo today and then the time was changed, still today at 6 p.m. at HB’s gym. Rain won’t alter that schedule, one can be pretty sure.
BOYS & GIRLS TENNIS
This impacts several local players as the boys and girls singles were postponed to Monday at 2 p.m. The girls are at both Concord (top half of bracket) and Manchester Memorial (bottom half). The boys are at SNHU (top) and down the street to nearby Derryfield (bottom).
The best thing today with the expected weather is to check the NHIAA website for more updates.
