Another light day on the high school schedule brought a win and a loss — for local opponent Windham.

Good news for Nashua High School baseball, while bad for Bishop Guertin softball:

BASEBALL

NASHUA SOUTH 11, WINDHAM 10

Adam Murray went 1 for 4 with three RBIs and a stolen base while Jack Ninteau went 1 for 1 with two RBIs and a run scored as the Panthers improved to 2-5 on the season.

Nick Sanoissian tossed 2.1 innings to get the win with three strikeouts.

South will visit Portsmouth today at 4 p.m.

SOFTBALL

WINDHAM 7, BISHOP GUERTIN 2

The Cards had a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth in a battle of two Division I contenders, but the Jags scored six runs on four hits to grab the lead. The biggest blow was a sac bunt by Windham’s Marin Hollingshead that drove in two.

The Cards scored their two runs in the top of the second on D Miles’ RBI double and Sophie Bilodeau’s sac bunt.

Jenny Davey, who took the loss in the circle in relief (six runs on six hits in three innings) had two hits along with Meara McDevitt to lead BG’s offense.

Guertin, now 6-1, will be at Manchester Central-Memorial today at 4 p.m., the team’s third game in three days.
