The hottest team in high school hockey will be back in action in the Division I high school quarterfinals on Saturday.

Meanwhile, two of the area’s Division II boys basketball teams will be facing each other tonight in the prelims at Nashua North.

Yes, the remainder of the tournament pairings were released by the NHIAA on Monday, and besides the already known Division I teams, there are plenty of locals who have now joined the postseason party.

Here’s a look:

DIVISION II BOYS BASKETBALL

There are only two locals in the postseason, and they will face each other. Tonight at Nashua North’s Titans Gym will be No. 11 Souhegan (8-10) at No. 6 Hollis Brookline (14-4). The game is in Nashua due to a school meeting at the HB gym. The winner faces the winner of No. 3 Sanborn vs. No. 14 ConVal in Friday’s quarterfinals. The Cavs, who won nine of their last 10, beat the Sabers 61-33 back on Jan. 28 in Hollis.

The semis are next Monday at 5:30 and 7:30 at the Rochester Rec Center, with the finals Saturday, March 16 at 12 p.m. at UNH’s Lundholm Gym.

DIVISION II GIRLS

All three area teams are in the tourney, with No. 2 Milford (15-3) getting a first-round bye into Saturday’s quarterfinals, where they’ll host either Bow or Coe-Brown.

Wednesday, No. 13 Hollis Brookline (8-10) will be at No. 4 Oyster River (14-4) at 6 p.m. The Cavs edged the Bobcats 50-47 in the season opener back on Dec. 13 in Hollis.

Meanwhile, No. 12 Souhegan (8-10) will visit No. 5 Pembroke in another prelim at 7 p.m. The Spartans bested the Sabers 51-23 at Pembroke on Feb. 4. The winners of both games would square off against each other in Saturday’s quarterfinals at the home of the higher seed. The semifinals are next Wednesday, March 12 at 5 and 7 p.m. at Pinkerton Academy, and the finals are Saturday, March 15 at 12 p.m. at UNH’s Lundholm Gym.

BOYS HOCKEY

DIVISION I

That hottest team just happens to be Bishop Guertin, winners of 11 straight. The No. 2 Cards (15-3) will host the winner of Wednesday’s prelim between No. 7 Windham (9-9) and No. 10 Bow (6-10-2) on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Skate 3 in Tyngsborough, Mass. Guertin beat Windham 6-0 and Bow 5-0 during the regular season, both times at Skate 3.

The semifinals for the Cards, should they advance, would be at 7:30 p.m. next Wednesday, March 12 at Manchester’s JFK Coliseum against the winner of the No. 3 Keene-No. 6 Exeter quarterfinal.

The finals are Saturday, March 15 at Manchester’s SNHU Arena, time tba.

DIVISION II HOCKEY

There are two teams in action on Saturday, both on the road. No. 5 Merrimack-Hollis Brookline-Derryfield (11-5-2) will be at No. 4 Goffstown (13-4-1) at, as of now, 4 p.m., likely at Saint Anselm’s Sullivan Arena (but not official yet). The two teams split during the regular season, MHBDS won in the season opener 3-2 while the Grizzlies prevailed 3-0 two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, No. 6 Alvirne-Milford (12-6) will be at No. 3 St. Thomas (14-4) at the Dover Ice Arena at 3 p.m. The Saints bested the Admirals 8-0 at Skate 3 back on Dec. 21, but A-M has been a different team since, although it dropped its last three games to end the regular season.

The semis are next Wednesday, March 12 at 5 and 7:30 p.m. at Concord’s Everett Arena. MHBDS is in the 5 p.m. bracket with No. 1 Spaulding, while the Admirals are in the later bracket with No. 2 Oyster River.

The finals are Saturday, March 15, at SNHU Arena, time to be determined.

DIVISION III HOCKEY

One lone semi-local, No. 6 Pembroke-Campbell (7-10-1) will be at No. 3 Kennett (14-3-1) at 6 p.m. in the quarterfinals on Saturday. The winner would face No. 2 Kingswood (14-3-1) in the semis next Wednesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Plymouth State.

Kennett beat P-C twice this season, 5-2 back on Jan. 20 and 8-3 just this past Saturday.

The finals are tba at SNHU Arena on Saturday, March 15.
