New Englands: BG’s Giardina second, North’s White ninth

Another meet, another stellar performance for Bishop Guertin’s Matt Giardina.

Giradina ran the season’s top New Hampshire time of 9:07.34 in the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.

However, Giardina did have to settle for second behind Marblehead’s Nathaniel Assa (9:04.60, 10th nationally).

Nashua North’s Laura White was ninth in the girls one mile in 5:10.49

In other local boys results:

Milford’s foursome of Grant Skorupan, Will Whitley, Chase Paiva and Logan Korthals came in 13th in the 4×800 relay., and the foursome of Avery Wilson, Korthals, Whitley and Kenyon Sora were 13th in the 4×400 relay in 3:30.42.

Whitley was 24th in the 600.

South’s Matthew Mortherway, Cam Patronick, Ryan Duvarney and Camdon Brien were 25th, just ahead of North’s Aaron McNair, Yazieel Vazquez, Bunhour Chea and Cole Burns.

South’s 4×200 team of Leonel Lopez, Ryan Jansen, Tim Staveley and Marcell Perry were 11th in 1:32.36, and the 4×400 crew of Motherway, Cam Brien, Sergio Lopez and Revin Olsen were 15th (3:32.77).

Alvirne was 24th in the 4×200 (Brent Dunning, Joe Marcotte, Jaden Taylor and Michael Landmesser). Bishop Guertin’s Carson Fischer was 16th in the one mile (4:31.94)

Souhegan’s Ben Gaudet, Brody Smith, John Katsel and Dallen Noorda were 18th in the 4×400 relay.

In field events, North’s Noah Pasterczyk was 15th in the shot put (50-11.00), ahead of teammate Darius Smith (18th, 49-03.00. Fellow Titan Luke Peters was 26th in the long jump (20-06.25).

In other girls meet results, Nashua North’s Rosalie Neveu was 16th in the 600 in 1:41.19

Nashua South’s foursome of Alejandra Chavarin, Sarah Witta, Nevaeh Eppolito and Camrin Ayi was 26th in the 4×200.

Hollis Brookline’s Grace Dow was 19th in the 300 in 42.70. Also, South’s Nora Gautieri was 27th in the shot put.
