It was a Fab Friday for the majority of the local high school boys and girls basketball teams; the BG girls finished up a highly successful 14-4 regular season while the Souhegan girls clinched a tourney berth despite a loss.
On the boys side, the Cards and Alvirne Broncos got big wins as teams head into the final week of the regular season.

The good news was that with Bishop Brady losing to Sanborn, the 8-9 Sabers clinched a Division II tourney spot.

SOUHEGAN 45, KINGSWOOD 42
Drew Reagan’s 26 points on Senior Night was the cherry on top of what was a great defensive game for the Sabers (8-9). Souhegan hosts ConVal on Tuesday.
MERRIMACK VALLEY 61, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 57
The Cavaliers (13-4) saw their eight-game win streak snapped in their final regular season home game at the hands of MV (10-6).
Alton Williams led the Cavs with 15 points, followed by Noah Natalino with 13 and Dylan Kelley with 10. HB rallied from five down at the half to take a 47-45 lead heading into the final quarter, but couldnt find an answer to stopping MV’s Aiden Gray (25 points).
Before the game, HB seniors Cam Kump, Yarie Ramas, Paul Gehan, Colin Magnuszewski, and John Paul Torgenson were recognized.
The Cavs will wind up the regular portion of the campaign Tuesday at local rival Milford, which needs the win to keep its faint Division II tourney hopes alive.
