The Nashua High School North and South gymnasts wrapped up their season at this past Saturday’s State Championships in Salem.

Panthers senior Renee Glidden had a solid 29.875 All-Around score in her final performance, with her highest scoring events on vault (8.325) and floor. Glidden also doubles as a cheerleader.

“We are going to miss Renee next season,” South coach Nicole Hembrow said. “I’m so proud of the contributions that she has made to the South gymnastics team as well as her individual accomplishments.”

South junior Abbey Hebert made up for missing last season’s event due to an injury by posting a season high score on vault (8.4 out of a possible 9.1).

Meanwhile, senior Katie Perry may have had the busiest weekend as she captured the Division I diving championship and also swam in other events Saturday morning for Nashua South and then competed for the Panthers in the state gymnastics meet. She finished with a 30.15 All-Around, with her best events floor (8.9 out of possible 9.8), good for 17th and vault.

Hembrow felt the same gratitude for what Perry has done for the program, “and I’m also prud of her continued dedication to the other South teams that she has been a member of for the winter season.”

Finally, North’s Ashlynn Hall compted on floor in her first state meet experience, and scored an 8.150 out of a possible 9.3 start.
