BG third in Division 1 skiing led by Ellia; North’s Neveu shines

The Bishop Guertin girls finished third in the Division I Alpine ski championships on Tuesday at Pat’s Peak.

Guertin totaled 346 in the Giant Slalom and 348 in the Slalom for a 694 total. Bedford captured the title at 722, while Concord was second at 702.

Nashua North, led by Rosalie Neveu, finished 11th (486.5) while Merrimack was 15th and South 18th.

Guertin was second in the Slalom led by Elena Ellia, who finished third in 1:21.45. Ari Hughes was 13th (1:31.62) and Olivia Nestor 17th (1:34.28). Madison Cail was 24th to finish the BG scoring.

North was ninth in the Slalom as Neveu finished eighth (1:24.22) whle Sam Nardone was 45th and Katheryn Kieley 58th. Merrimack’s Ava Woods was 55th .

The Cards were fourth in the GS as Ellia was third in 1:23.61. Hughes (1:28.50) was 13th, Nestor (1:29.17) 16th, and Cail 26th.

North’s Neveu was sixth in 1:25.41, qualifying her for the Meet of Champions along with Ellia next week at Mittersill. Fellow Titan Kieley was 56th and Lya Pierhoples 58th. Merrimack’s Woods was 49th and South’s Adrianna Cruz-Osario 81st.

In Division II, Hanover won the title followed by Kingswood, Kennett, Bow and Plymouth.
