HS Roundup: Local gymnasts, skiers do well in late season meets
The gymnastics regular season wrapped up late Wednesday night for Nashua South as a team and the North independents at Londonderry High School.
Despite two Panthers out, south had a solid meet, with Renee Glidden and Binita Rana competing as All-Arounds. The Panthers await the state meet qualifying results; the meet is a week from Saturday.
For the North independents, Lynnlee Davis had her second highest floor score of the season while Allison Tarbox had her highest beam score. Again, they await qualifying results.

BG, NORTH, SOUTH DO WELL
It was an all-day ski event at Mount Sunapee on Wednesday, with Nashua and Bishop Guertin skiers having great results. Concord dominated the meet, taking three of the four races but Bishop Guertin won the boys Giant Slalom.
In the boys Slalom, Nashua North was seventh (292.0) points) led by Camden Scorpa (14, 1:15.60. Finn Larney was 33rd.
The top local boys finisher was Nashua South’s Tommy Crook, who was seventh (1:06.50) as the Panthers (247) were eighth overall. South’s Chase Swisher was 12th. BG finished 10th, with Connor O’Donnell finishing 21st.
In the Giant Slalom, it was a better story as BG won at 364.5, led by Austin Harvey in third in 47.90 seconds. Max DeRosa was sixth in 49.10, while Connor O’Donnell was 13th and Finley Bouvier 17 to finish the Cards scoring.
South’s Crooks, Tommy and Timmy, were fourth (48.60) and sixth (49.10) respectively as the Panthers were third in the GS at 335. Chase Swisher was 18th.
North was 10th at 258.5 led by Scorpa, who was 29th.
As for the girls, BG was second in the Slalom race with 370.5 points, led by Ellia Elena who finished fourth in 1:02.80 and Cail Madison (seventh, 1:08.40) and Olivia Nestor (eighth, 1:09.50). Ari Hughes was 14th to finish the scoring.
Nashua North (320) was sixth as Rosie Neveu finished fifth overall in 1:07.70. Sam Nardone was 24th and Kathryn Kieley 34th.
In the Giant Slalom, the Cards were also second behind Concord at 377 with four in the top 10, led by Elena (third, 49.30), Hughes (sixth, 51.10), Cail (eighth, 52.60) and Olivia Nestor (10th, 54.50).
North was seventh as Neveu was fourth (50.20) while Nardone was 27th (1:00.90).
The state meets are next week.
