Merrimack wrestlers get a split decision in tri meet
It was a split decision on Monday for the Merrimack High School wrestling team.
The Tomahawks fell to Manchester West 53-16 but beat Kingswood Regional 42-31 in a tri-meet.
Winners in the West match for the ‘Hawks were Owen Sayball at 126 with a 10-3 decision, Landon Schultz at 138 (pin), Carter Anderson at 175 by a 15-11 decision and Avery Lanteigne at 190 with a 14-4 Major Decision.
Things were different vs. Kingswood. The ‘Hawks got two forfeits worth 12 points and then the rest of their victories were by pin.
Winners were: Sayball (132), Schultz (138), Kael McAloon (144), Amir Safa (165),and Cooper Seltsam-Wilps (215).
The Tomahawks host Portsmouth on Wednesday.
