POOL PARTY: North boys, South girls win Battle of the Bridge

NASHUA – It was a split decision in the competiton to see who rules the pool on Sunday, otherwise known as the Nashua North-South Battle of the Bridge.
The North boys swimmers topped South, while the South girls did just the opposite. That means the standings are now South 4, North 2, with boys ice hockey next on Wednesday night at Conway Arena.
The North boys won easily, 123-60, while the South girls pretty much did the same, 106-67.
In the boys meet, the Titans got off to a great start. The 200 yard medley team of Tom White. Grifin Reilly, Jayden Ceballos and Jack White triumphed in 1:57.58. Tom White continued that trend with a first in the 200 free (2:09.52 )while Jack White captured the 200 IM in 2:11.03. Jayden Ceballos was second. Griffin Reilly rounded out the Titans’ hot start with a win in the 50 free in 26.49
The Titans took one-two in diving with Dawson Bolton first at 184.75 and David Preston second at 179.50. Tom White won the 100 breaststroke (1:11.52), Jack White the 100 free, and the team of David Preston, Luke Frenette, Alexander Paquin and Jack White took the 400 free relay in 4:15.03
For South, Pratham Mukewar won the 100 butterfly in 1:10.52.
The Panthers also captured the 200 free relay as the foursome of Ishaan Parmer, Mihir Garamella, Nathan Perry and Sebastian Woodward won in 1:55.16.
Cole DeHoyos won the 100 back in 1:06.97
Parmar was second in the 50 free in 26.50, and third in the 100 free.

In the girls meet, South captured the 200 medley relay, and then Mara Grigas-Lewis won the 200 free in 2:23.99 and the 500 free in 6:39.52. Keegan Dolan took the 200 IM in 2:42.45.
Panther Teresa Mathew won the 50 free in 26.80. South’s Katie Perry won the diving at 210.60 and captured the 100 back in 1:13.56. Keegan Dolan won the 100 butterfly in 1:14.12 and Teresa Matthew took the 100 free in 1:02.88.
Also, the South 400 free relay team of Mara Grigas-Lewis, Natasha Mallya, Dolan and Mathew won in 4:32.50.
North’s Maddie Grigas-Lewis took first in the 100 breast. Kaylee Hall and Savanna Basford took second and third, respectively, in the 1-meter diving. Laura White had two second place finishes in the 200 and 100 free.
North’s Gabbi Desjardins, Claire Hilderbrand and Emerly Chacon had personal bests in the meet.
