Today the Telegraph and nashuatelegraph.com wrap up honoring the outstanding local high school athletes of the fall season and their memorable performances. That will put the final stamp on a memorable Fall 2024 season as we move deeper into winter. Today, as we always do in our Fall Finale, the All-Area Football Team:

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

SCOTT HERSHBERGER, RB-LB, CAMPBELL

Several players had great seasons in the area, but few had the dominance of Scott Hershberger, who became the state’s all-time leading rusher, rushed for 2,076 yards this season, and led the Cougars to their second Division III title in the last three years and third straight championship game. Plus, Hershberger beat out a talented field to win the prestigious Yukica Player of the Year and was also the Division III Player of the Year.
