HS Roundup: Tough day for Nashua soccer; Merrimack wins

If you’re a Nashua soccer fan, Tuesday was not your day.

The North and South high school girls and boys teams were a combined 0-3-1 on the day as the final week of the regular season is underway.

Here are the day’s winners, losers, and teams that tied:

BOYS SOCCER

LONDONDERRY 4, NASHUA SOUTH 2

The Panthers fall to 6-5-4 after a loss to the Lancers. Marcell Perry and Steve Long scored one goal each. South hosts Manchester Memorial on Thursday.

WINNACUNNET 2, NASHUA NORTH 0

Tyler Byrne made 11 saves in the Titans (4-7-4) loss. North hosts Timberlane on Wednesday.

MERRIMACK 6, SPAULDING 0

The Tomahawks (8-4-3) win their third straight contest by shutting out Spaulding. Luca Kabel led the scoring with two goals.

Danyil Kovryzhenko, Hunter Joseph, Noah Morrison and Adrian Talbot also found the back of the net. Armin Omeragic was in net for the shutout. Merrimack hosts Winnacunnet on Friday for Senior Night.

KEENE 2, BISHOP GUERTIN 1

The Cards lost a tough one on the road and now, at 3-6-6, are in grave danger of missing the Division I tournament. BG faces a must-win vs. Goffstown Friday in the regular season finale for both.

CAMPBELL 5, CONVAL 0

Luke Delia tallied a hat trick in the Cougars (13-1-1) win. Brady Marcotte helped the offense with two goals. Campbell hosts Pelham on Friday.

GIRLS SOCCER

NASHUA SOUTH 1, LONDONDERRY 1

Ava Kopicko scored on an assist from Addison Varley in the Panthers (6-6-3) tie. South visits Manchester Memorial on Thursday.

WINNACUNNET 2, NASHUA NORTH 0

The Titans (8-6-1) get shutout for the second straight game. North visits Timberlane on Thursday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 9, LACONIA 0

The Cavaliers enjoyed another one-sided affair, this one on the road, as they are now 15-0, winners of 34 straight.

Marleight Kreick (two goals, two assists) and McKenna Maguire (two goals) led the way for HB. Also in the scoring column with single goals were Lily Bouchard, Rosalie DeSantis, Ellie Snoke, Zoe Kreick, and Sam Disco.

Bouchard, DeSantis, and Molly Reardon each had an assist.

HB wraps up the regular season at ConVal on Thursday.
