It’s the final week of the regular season, and local teams will be jockeying for position in their respective tourneys – or just try to make them, period.

Monday was big for local volleyball teams, but also for the Nashua North Co-Ed Unified soccer team.

Here’s why:

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

BISHOP GUERTIN 3, DOVER 0

The Cards (12-4) keep on taking care of business, sweeping the Green Wave 25-16, 25-13,25-22 for their fourth straight win.

They were led by outside hitters Akira Coravos and Allison Marino, as well as setter Brooke Partridge and libero Veronica Gomez. BG hosts Spaulding on Wednesday.

SPAULDING 3, NASHUA NORTH 2

Speaking of Spaulding, the Titans (9-7) couldn’t string together enough point runs, falling in five sets in Rochester.

Ruby Zeman had a great night on the service line, while Aleena Reth played stellar defense. North hosts Alvirne on Wednesday.

NASHUA SOUTH 3, TIMBERLANE 0

The Panthers won for the seventh time in their last eight matches to improve to 12-4 with a 25-17, 25-14, 25-18 sweep. Mia Suljic (13 kills, six digs), Molly Lecklider (10 kills, six digs) and Hayleigh Hicks (five kills, three digs) led the winning effort.

They’ll be at Pinkerton on Wednesday.

PINKERTON 3, MERRIMACK 0

The Tomahawks were on the wrong end of a 25-21, 25-17, 25-19 sweep, just their fourth loss of the season (12-4). The Astros (14-3) are red hot, having won nine straight.

Amela Walker had six kills, four blocks and two aces, while Noor Eldeib had 13 assists and two kills. Rachel Flett had four kills, while Abby Herrod added three kills and two aces.

Merrimack is at Windham on Wednesday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, PORTSMOUTH 0

The Cavaliers improved to 11-5 with a 25-17, 25-18, 25-23 sweep of the Clippers in a rematch of last year’s semis.

Kate Berrigan had eight kills and five aces to lead HB, while Maggie Noble had nine kills. Lolly Adair (five kills, three aces) and Anika Carlson (seven kills, ace) also had good nights.

HB is at Timberlane on Wednesday.

CO-ED UNIFIED SOCCER

NASHUA NORTH 4, LONDONDERRY 0

Jaiden Hart had two goals to seal the Titans win as they clinched a tourney berth with the win at North. Andrew Cullinane had a goal called back due to off-sides.

North wraps up the regular season at 2-3 and will compete in the quarterfinals on Oct. 31.
