Tuesday the local high school slate gave us two really big all-area matchups besides the Nashua South-Bishop Guertin girls soccer battle:

One was in boys soccer, where Campbell avenged its only loss of the season against fellow Division II contender Milford. The other was when Merrimack and Nashua South met in girls volleyball in a battle of Division I double-digit winning teams. Who won that one as well as the rematch of the last four Division I state title matches?

The Cougars (11-1-1) grab a strong win against the Spartans (9-2-2) with first place in the standings on the line. Luke Delia netted two goals with Logan Barka and Nate Roche each adding one. Campbell hosts Plymouth on Thursday and Milford visits Pembroke on Friday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, KINGSWOOD 0

The Cavs (7-5-1) get their redemption by defeating the Knights in shutout. Noah Natalino scored two goals and Andrew Desmarais added one. Ronan Finnegan tallied two assists with Jackson Scherer and Ian Sinclair each had time in net. HB hosts Pelham on Friday.
