The Successful Saga of Scott Hershberger continues. On Saturday, he unofficially became Campbell High School’s leading career rusher as he ran for 182 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries in a 34-14 win at Epping/Newmarket.

Campbell coach Glen Costello, his team now 6-0, says this is the best he’s seen the senior back, who eclipsed the 5,000 career yardage mark a week ago.

“Yeah, his patience and vision has gotten significantly better,” Costello said.

But the Cougars don’t win with just Hershberger and his blocking machine brother Nick. Joel Ducatali and Myles Gagnon also had rushing TDs.

Campell will be at Lebanon next Friday before a week off followed by a Nov. 1 regular season finale/showdown at Division III rival/fellow contender Monadnock.
