There are some key games on the local schedule, especially for Nashua South and Bishop Guertin, who were slated to play at Stellos Stadium this weekend and instead are on the road, one to the beach and the other one to college.

Read on and you’ll see what we mean, as Nashua North also seeks its first win, Souhegan and Milford meet in a rivalry game, and Merrimack looks to bounce back.

Here’s a capsule preview of Week 6:

FRIDAY

DIVISON I

NASHUA SOUTH (4-0 Division I, 5-0 overall) at WINNACUNNET (4-1)

WHEN: 6 p.m.

WHERE: Winnacunnet HS in Hampton.

LAST WEEK: South 41, Central15; Winnacunnet 16, Timberlane 6.

LAST YEAR: South 25, Winnacunnet 0

FYI: This game was slated to be at Stellos, but was switched after the closure. Will that impact the QB Cody Jackson-led Panthers? The Warriors have beaten teams that have struggled, but, as everyone does, lost big to Exeter. But South will have its hands full; backs Mason McDonald and Dom Mancini combined for 193 of a 257-yard rushing attack (McDonald with 121).They threw for just 3 of 6 but the three were TD passes.

THE PICK: South 27, Winnacunnet 16. Panthers pull away in a road game they weren’t expecting.

NASHUA NORTH (0-5) at GOFFSTOWN (1-4)

WHEN: 7 p.m.

WHERE: Goffstown HS.

LAST WEEK: Bishop Guertin 43, Nashua North 42; Manchester Memorial 18, Goffstown 15

LAST YEAR: North 33, Goffstown 8.

FYI: The Titans have to be so anxious for that first win after last week’s heartbreak with 12 seconds left. Luke Peters and Dharyus Sisay certainly proved to be a one-two dangerous punch in space with theirs speed. Jayden Pares and Shane Lynn are keys for the Grizzlies, but they can also score on special teams with placekicker McKenna Kelly.

THE PICK: North 21, Goffstown 18. Titans get a late Peters TD then block a field goal at the end and celebrate their first win like crazy.

WINDHAM at MERRIMACK (2-2 Division I, 2-3 overall)

WHEN: 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: MHS Student Memorial Field.

LAST WEEK: Bedford 47, Merrimack 0; Concord 20, Windham 7.

FYI: The Tomahawks are ready to turn the page after are last week’s Bedford disaster, and they’ll need to as this game could have playoff implications. They’ll need to move the football, and while not going up against Bedford’s defense, the most points the Jags have allowed is 28. ‘Hawks QB Sahil Mujuwar will try to spark the offense. Windham back Hayden Tedesco has played well of late and watch out for Cameron Williams in the secondary.

THE PICK: Merrimack 20, Windham 15. Just when you count the ‘Hawks out, they pull you back in.

DIVISION II

DIVISION II

SOUHEGAN (5-0) at MILFORD (1-4)

WHEN: Friday, 7 p.m.

WHERE: Milford High School

LAST WEEK: Souhegan 37, Hanover 0;

Manchester West 47, Milford 0

LAST YEAR: Souhegan 39, Milford 0

FYI: In rivalry games, anything can happen. But these two teams are in different time zones, really; the Sabers behind QB Michael Fiengo and Ryland Raudelunas just keep piling on the points in every game, nothing under 35. Milford , led by QB Brady O’Connor, put up 48 at Hollis Brookline but has scored a total of 18 points in its four losses.

THE PICK: Souhegan 42, Milford 6. Like we said, in two different time zones.

HOLLIS (0-5) at ConVal (1-4)

WHEN: 7 p.m.

WHERE: ConVal HS in Peterborough.

LAST WEEK: John Stark 34, HB 8; Pelham 48, ConVal 22.

LAST YEAR: Did not play.

FYI: ConVal made the move up from Division III and has struggled; the Cougar are led by backs Wetu Selbay and Sam Davis. HB has a standout player in Sam Bruneau, and are better than a year ago. Something has to give here.

THE PICK: ConVal 28, HB 20. Cougars have competed a bit better this season, but the Cavs still give them a battle.

SATURDAY

DIVISION I

KEENE (2-2 Division I, 3-2 overall) at BISHOP GUERTIN (2-2 Division I, 3-2 overall)

WHEN: 7 p.m.

WHERE: Merrimack College’s Duane Stadium, North Andover, Mass.

LAST WEEK: Keene 35, Brattleboro Union (Vt.) 0; BG 43, North 42.

LAST YEAR: Bishop Guertin 34, Keene 14.

FYI: The game is at Merrimack College thanks to the Stellos closure, so it remains to be seen what the impact will be, if any. A star was born for BG last week, QB Nate Bowen. Both teams are good up front, and both suffered injuries to their top backs last week. BG’s A.J. Holmes got dinged up with an apparent foot injury and wasn’t full strenghth and did not play late, while Keene’s Sawyer Lepple ran for a whopping 285 yards before having to leave in the third quarter with a possible knee injury. We’ll see if either can play Saturday.

THE PICK: BG 27, Keene 21. Cards have backs if Holmes is out, but if Bowen plays like he did vs. North (over 400 yards passing), watch out.

DIVISION III

CAMPBELL (5-0) at EPPING-NEWMARKET (1-3)

WHEN: 12 p.m.

WHERE: Epping HS.

LAST WEEK: Laconia 35, E/N 14

LAST YEAR: Campbell 39, Epping-Newmarket 14.

FYI: Scott Hershberger keeps pushing along, leaving many in his path, and it will be tough to see any change this week. QB Antony Semprini leads E-N.

THE PICK: Campbell 42, E-N 7. Same as it ever was.
