As everyone takes a break for the summer,The Telegraph continues its honoring of the many talented high school athletes who had spectacular spring seaons with our annual All-Area teams per sport. These teams will be posted on various days over the course of the next two weeks.

2024 TELEGRAPH ALL-AREA GIRLS OUTDOOR TRACK TEAM

ATHLETES OF THE YEAR

JHANELLE THOMAS, Nashua North

SORAYA ROSS, Nashua South

Clearly, speed is success, and both Thomas and Ross had it this past spring. Ross, who will compete in both soccer and track at Niagara University, won the Meet of Champions 100 dash, while Thomas won the 300 hurdles. Ross helped guide the Panthers to the 4×100 state title, while Thomas guided North to the 4×400 Division I title. Two of the best we’ve seen, and Thomas will return next year as a senior.
