One of the busiest days in high school sports ended the spring tournament season Saturday with three local teams winning state championships.

Six locals were vying for titles, two against each other. The Bishop Guertin boys lacrosse team downed Bedford 15-12 to capture its fourth straight Division I crown at Exeter’s Bill Ball Stadium. Meanwhile, up in Laconia, Campbell High School won its first ever boys lacrosse title, winning the Division III crown 6-4 over Bow at Bank of New Hampshire Stadium.

In Nashua, Hollis Brookline enjoyed a boys volleyball threepeat, downing local rival Souhegan 3-0 at South’s Belanger Gym.

Two other teams just fell short in their title bids. Early in the day, Souhegan fell to Bow 13-3 in the Division II baseball title game at Manchester’s Delta Dental Stadium, while at Plymouth State University, Bishop Guertin fell to Londonderry 12-0 in the Division I state softball title game.
