It’s getting interesting.

While Friday was a tough day for a lot of local teams, it was an interesting tennis day with one more to do as teams will need to play today and even on Sunday to wrap up their regular seasons.

One interesting match will be today when the Nashua North boys host Salem. It’s a must win for the 5-8 Titans, who if they finish 5-9 would likely lose out on a tiebreaker with 5-9 Concord for the 11th and final Division I tourney spot.

It was also a big day for Hollis Brookline softball’s Kailey Disco. Here’s your Friday rundown, with one more regualar season week to go in everything except track and tennis:

GIRLS TENNIS

NASHUA NORTH 9, LONDONDERRY 0

The Titans (7-6, winners of five of their last seven) are playing their best tennis of the season at the right time, as they will wrap up the regular season today with a 9 a.m.match at Salem and then prep for a likely Division I tourney berth.

Their top three singles players, Mary Pappas, Sanya Rane and Clare Tran all won 8-0 while Caitlyn Mamos (8-6), Patricia Rodriguez (8-5) and Brielle Baxter (8-6) all won closer matches.

The doubles teams of Pappas/Tran (8-2), Rane/Mamos (8-0) and Rodriguez/Baxter (8-4) completed the sweep.

The Sabers wrap up the regular season at 13-1 while the shorthanded Cavaliers ended what was also a successful regular season at 10-4.

The Sabers swept doubles with the tandems of Perrin/Drum (8-0), Jancar/Tower (8-5) and Dart/Keelin Lewellyn (8-2) all winning.
