There was no threepeat for the Hollis Brookline girls swim team on Saturday, but they weren’t disappointed.

Why? Because no one did more with less.

“You could not ask for a better outcome,”Cavaliers coach Jim Rezzarday said. “Cambria Jewett won both of her events and led the team to a third place finish with only five girls on the team, when all of the other teams had double the amount of swimmers.”

Hanover took advantage and captured the Division II state title on Saturday at the University of New Hampshire with a whopping 236 points, dominating the event. Oyster River took second at 148, just ahead of the Cavs who had 140 for third place. Windham (121) took fourth and St. Thomas (116.5) fifth.

In Division I, the Nashua South girls had an impressive day, finishing third with 139 points in the meet won by Bedford (291) with Dover second at 173. Merrimack was sixth with 93 points while North took 10th. Bishop Guertin finished 16th. In Division I boys, Bedford took that crown as well with a whopping 363 points. South was the highest local finisher in sixth with 90, just ahead of seventh place North with 75.

Elsewhere in the Division II girls locally, Souhegan was sixth at 111, ahead of Milford at 71 while the Alvirne girls were 14th at 32.

In boys Division II, Windham captured the title at 209, well ahead of Hanover (167) and Coe-Brown (130). Locally, HB was sixth at 113, just ahead of Souhegan (100) while Avirne was 11th (23) and Milford 16th (three). But there was a record performance by a Cavalier, so read on:
