Nashua gymnasts show improvement in meet at Salem

SALEM — The Nashua High School South gymnastics team and one independent North gymnast performed well Sunday at A2 Gym & Cheer vs. Bishop Guertin, Pelham and Windham.

Nashua South finished with an improved team score of 110.05, led by its two all-around gymnasts, senior Abby Herlihy and junior Renee Glidden, who both had improved all around scores of 29.15 (Herlihy) and 28.8 (Glidden). Freshman, Sophia Collins, competed on floor. Freshman Nina Somorrostro competed on vault, bars, and floor. Sophomore Abbey Herbert competed on vault, bars, and beam. Sophomore, Binita Rana competed on vault, beam, and floor. All routines contributed the Panthers’ improved performance, which included the debut of multiple new skills on balance beam and floor.

North sophomore Lynnlee Davis on the balance beam. Despite having a fall, she recovered nicely and finished strong in her third career gymnastics competition.

The Nashua contingent competes next Sundaye at Noha’s Gymnastics Academy in Manchester.
