The Bedford Bulldogs officially wrapped up the NHIAA Fall season in the Saturday chill in Exeter with their second straight Division I football title, beating Londonderry again, 28-8 at Bill Ball Stadium.

TheNo. 3 Bulldogs basically bulldozed their way through the season, finishing 12-0 and rarely trailing in any game. They were down yesterday, however, 8-0 to the No. 4 Lancers as a Seth Doyon interception set up a Jake Schena 18-yard TD run (Sam Ogden conversion run) with 5:58 left in the first.

It was mainly all Bedford after that.

Bulldog QB Danny Black scored from 9 yards out less than two minutes into the second quarter to make it 8-6. Bedford then took the lead for good with 5:18 left in the first half to help make it 13-8. Black then hit Luke Soden on a 22-yard TD pass, with Jack Riso adding a two-point conversion run with 30 seconds left in the half and suddenly the Bulldogs were in control, 21-8. The series was set up by a Dom Tagliaferro interception. Bedford outgained the Lancers (10-3) 137-71 in the first half.

Bedford added a 45-yard Brody Helton TD run with 3:51 left to account for the final.

Bedford has now won four Division I titles. It was their sixth title game appearance, five in Division I and they were in one Division II title game.
