The heat was on Thursday but so was the high school schedule, as some teams moved games to later, cooler starts for obvious safety reasons. But the Hollis Brookline girls soccer team remains red hot as they start the season with three straight shutouts.

Here’s a look at a light slate:

GIRLS SOCCER

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 6, LEBANON 0

The fast-paced, 3-0 Cavaliers got a pair of goals each from McKenna Maguire (also an assist) and Marleigh Kreick.

Rodalie DeSantis had a goal and two assists while Lauren Holt added a goal while Donagha Lussier had an assist.

Mya Blackman and Bailey Dunn combined for three saves and the shutout, with defensive help from Elie Snoke and Cassidy Engle.

HB is at Keene, now in Division II, on Tuesday.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

SALEM 3, NASHUA NORTH 0

The Titans were the victims of a 25-17, 25-15, 26-24 sweep despite 10 digs and three aces from Kailyn Sung, and five kills, six digs and two aces from Taylor Joyal.

Kaylee Simonds (four kills, two digs) and Ruby Zeman (seven assists, four digs, two kills) also played well for 1-1 North, which hosts Keene today.

FIELD HOCKEY

LONDONDERRY 2, NASHUA SOUTH 1

The 0-4 Panthers played the 4-1 Lancers about as well as possible without pulling out the win in a game that was scoreless for the first three quarters.

The Lancers then scored twice to go up 2-0 but South’s Keegan Dolan scored off a feed from Maren Lowell with three minutes left. The Panthers then had three penalty corners but ran out of time.

South goalie Xiadani DeLaLima had 10 saves. The Panthers take on Manchester Central-West on Saturday at noon at Stellos Stadium.

GOFFSTOWN 8, MILFORD 2

Wila Audley had both Spartan goals with assits by Nadia Dutton and Addy Pare.

Violet Renda and Chloe Marchand combined for 15 saves in the Milford goal. The Spartans (0-4) are at rival Souhegan next Wednesday.
