Milford girls take fourth and HB boys fifth at Division II Meet

The area had a respectable showing in the Division II Track Championships at Oyster River High School on Friday.

The Milford girls finished fourth in the girls meet, while the Hollis Brookline boys took fifth to lead the locals.

Like Bedford in Division I, Coe-Brown enjoyed a sweep, winning both the boys and girls titles. The totaled 135 points, far ahead of second place Hanover (88) and third place Oyster River (54). Lebanon was fourth with 52 and the Cavaliers totaled 36 for fifth.

Souhegan was right behind in sixth with 27 points while Milford (23) was ninth.

Coe-Brown’s girls totaled 108.33, ahead of Oyster River (91). The rest of the field was far away, with Kennett third (42), just edging Milford (41). Pembroke was fifth at 39. HB was seventh (36) and Souhegan 14th (11).

GIRLS MEET

Milford’s Annalise Nassy won the triple jump at 35-0.5, was sixth in the 100 meter dash,

Milford’s Kylie Allen was third in the discus (100-1). Spartan Keely Giordano was fourth in both the 100 and 200 dashes and a key in the Spartans taking third in the 4×100 relay (51.86) along with Annalise Nassy, Ellianna Nassy, Shyanne Gelinas and Camdyn Sayward.

Grace Dow paced HB with a division title in the 100 hurdles in 16.55 seconds and was third in the 300 hurdles (48.92). Fellow Cavalier Clair Ballou was fifth in those same hurdles.

Brooke Bouchard was fifth in the 1600. Lilly Bouchard was second in the 400 (1:01.04)

Hollis Brookline was third in the 4×400 helped by both Bouchards and Ballou, and was fifth in the 4×800 relay, while Souhegan was sixth.

Souhegan’s Ashereka Primer was third in the high jump at 4-10 and fourth in the discus.

BOYS MEET

HB’s Marcus McCammack was second in the triple jump (40-6) while Sam Bruneau was fourth in the 100 dash and a key as the Cavs took third in the 4×100 relay (44.76, along with Andrew Desmarais, Will McCoy, Nathaniel McEvoy). Bruneau also took fifth in the 200.

HB’s Ryan Burgher took fourth in the 800,and the Cavs were fourth in the 4×400 relay.

Souhegan’s Cole Henderson took second in the 110 hurdles (15.76). Jackson Steckbeck was third in the triple jump, while Owen Stine was fourth in the 3200 and fifth in the 1600. Henderson was a key as Souhegan was fifth in the 4×100 relay. Henderson also took fourth in the 300 hurdles. Saber Dallen Noorda took sixth in the 800.

Milford’s Keegan Hatch was second in the shot put (47-6.75). The Spartans (Logan Korthals, Will Whitley, Adam Holodowski, Daniel Sixon) were fourth in the 4×800 relay, and sixth in both the 4×100 and 4×400 relays.

Spartan Avery Wilson was sixth in the 100 dash. Holodowski was second in the 300 hurdles (41.81)
