There’s a way to beat the rain, and somehow local high school athletes found it on Saturday. Nashua North’s Ace thrower Mardy Novak was glad that was the case, as she was a triple winner at the Londonderry Invitational Track Meet.

And we’ve even got some baseball for you, played early because remember, there are 24 hours in the day:

The Sabers (9-6) moved the game time up an hour to avoid the rain and are glad they did, as Brayden Hickman tossed a complete game three-hitter, striking out six while walking two to raise his season record to 6-2. He also went 2 for 4 at the plate with a double while driving in two runs. Teddy Katsel went 1 for 1, driving in the other two runs and walked twice.

Infielder Matt Silk had a hit, scored a run and played well defensively for the Sabers, who are at Pelham on Monday.
