Friday night was a tough night for high school football in the city of Nashua, with both Nashua North and Bishop Guertin being ousted from the Divison I playoffs, but three more local teams will be in action on Saturday.

All the games will be at 1 p.m.

The stakes are high at Souhegan High School’s Saber Field, where No. 3 Campbell (8-2) will take on No. 1 Trinity (10-0) in the Division III championship game. All championships are being played at a neutral site. Trinity beat Campbell 36-22 in a regular season game in Manchester at the end of September.

From a title game to a semifinal matchup: In the Division II semis, No. 4 Souhegan (9-1) will be at 10-0 Gilford-Belmont, the top seed in the division. The two teams did not meet in the regular season. The winner gets either Pelham or Bow in next weekend’s title game.

And finally, from finals to semis down to the quarterfinals. In Divison I, No. 8 Merrimack (7-2) will be at No.1 Londonderry (8-0) in a quarterfinal matchup as Sawyer Field. These two teams also did not meet in the regular season. The winner gets No. 4 Pinkerton Academy in next weekend’s semis.

Only the Campbell game is being played on field turf; the other two are on natural grass, so double check the times for those, etc. as the rain is expected to move out in the morning with clearing in the afternoon.
